First time renting a van And it was a fantastic experience. Matt spent plenty of time reviewing all of the components, let us pick whatever we needed from all of his camping gear to make sure we had the right necessary gear for our trip, and made the pick up and drop off as easy as could be. The sleeping beds were great for two adults and two kids and the van was super easy to drive up to Yosemite and back.

Mike is very easy to work with. Communicates extremely well and answered all the questions we had leading up to our trip. He was able to provide all the camping gear necessary for our family of 4 to live out the van for four nights while we toured Sequoia, Kings Canyon and Yosemite National Parks.

Mike was an incredible host, very helpful and detailed. The van itself is incredible, easy to drive and park and great gas mileage. The solar panels are a game changer , especially if going to more remote campsites. Highly recommend this rig for camping trips and get aways.

This was a GREAT experience, and I encourage you to do it! Brian was so friendly and helpful and made the process super simple. Communication is excellent, onboarding process is thorough, and everything is as it is represented. I would definitely rent from California VanLife again.

Mike was an amazing host with outstanding customer service. As first-time camper van renters, we felt completely at ease thanks to his clear communication and helpful guidance. The van was in excellent condition, super clean, and surprisingly easy to drive through Sequoia National Park. Mike was a fantastic host and provided me with the coaching I needed to feel more confident about the vehicle and its various functions. He was kind and made himself available to answer all of my questions. He also offered up some additional camping supplies that were very helpful to me on my adventure.

Mike was an excellent host and explained all the ins and outs of the van. The van was fantastic and made our first Yosemite trip unforgettable! There was 3 of us and it was perfect. Mike had options for cooking supplies, sleeping supplies, and any extras we would need for the van. The van was easy to drive and easy to use for a first time van/RV user. 10/10 experience and I would rent from Mike again in a heartbeat!

Great Rig! Mike is a fantastic host. He was very thorough to ensure we were comfortable with the RV prior to our departure. Had rented Class C’s before and this was the first time with a class B and was impressed with its capabilities. Took it Yellowstone, it was easy to drive and could park pretty much anywhere. Explored its off grid capabilities, and was impressed with its performance. Definitely would recommend Mike and his RV’s. Looking forward to renting from him again for our next adventure.

We had a great time on our trip to Yosemite and Sequoia! Mike was very personable and took us through the Solis in detail to make sure we knew how everything worked. This is a sweet little campervan. It was very clean when we picked it up. It also is pretty easy to drive and use (water, cassette toilet, electricity) with backup cameras so you can see everything. Mike also had all the necessary gear available (pots, pans, utensils, etc.) that we needed for our trip.

We had an amazing time! The van was a dream to drive and made navigating the park that much easier. Mike was thorough in the van orientation/tour and made us feel comfortable with using all of the bells and whistles this van has to offer. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

My wife and I planned a trip to Yosemite in 2023 and rented this van. A few days before we set off, the park closed due to flooding causing us to have to cancel our trip. Mike was super gracious and allowed us to reschedule the van for 2024 season. Mike was great to work with, he picked us up from the airport, gave us a thorough run down of the van, and was very responsive when we had questions on our trip. The van was great and very fun to camp in. We were able to fit into all of our trailhead parking lots with no issues. We had a great experience and highly recommend renting this van.

We simply loved our our experience with the Solis... it's almost new so in great condition, super clean, easy to drive, and above all very comfortable !!!

The whole process of renting the van from Mike was flawless! I had a few questions for him and he was quick to respond to them. The van was awesome, fits into regular parking spots and has all of the tech to get you in and out of them.
The van also offers some convenience when getting to and from a trailhead, you can get their early make breakfast, or comeback midday and take a rest, make some lunch and go watch sunset somewhere.
I’d highly recommend using Mike on Outdoorsy if you’ve ever thought of renting a camper van!

Mike was very accommodating to an earlier check-out (so I wouldn't arrive at my destination in Morro Bay after dark), very thorough in explaining how everything worked, and very available when a few questions popped up during my rental. The Solis was roomy, comfortable, I loved the screens to keep out the few bugs at my campsite, loved the solar panels (kept my devices charged up without needing to run the generator, ran the heat at night when it got cool and ran the fridge-freezer, also without needing the generator). All in all, a fantastic trip. Thanks Mike!

This was a 10 STAR experience from beginning to end!! I love the site...so user friendly. My family loved the camper van. There were 4 adults and one black lab. It was a bit tight when we were all in there moving around, but we expected that and it didn't detract from our experience at all. The beds were comfy, there was a lot of storage, great gas mileage and very easy to drive/park. We camped at 3 different campgrounds and setting up and tearing down was a breeze. Mike was super informative, accessible and made sure we felt comfortable with all the bells & whistles, of which there are a lot. Overall it was a marvelous experience and a fun part of our birthday trip. We will definitely be a return customer.

Mikes Winnebago Solis was AMAZING! It made our trip 10x’s better. The van was neat, clean, and ran amazing. Mike’s communication was on point and was helpful every step of the way. Would definitely recommend him and will be renting again when we visit Yosemite again.

a rear camera while driving. The van is very maneuverable and I had no

The Solis was perfect for a week long trip in Yosemite. Very comfortable and spacious for 2 people. Drives super easy. Mike responded quickly to messages & picked us up at the airport which was a huge bonus. Van life is the best way to see Yosemite!

The overall experience was fantastic! The RV was in outstanding condition. We traveled to the high-country in Yosemite. The RV was easy to drive on the winding and hilly mountainous roads. Mike met us promptly at the airport for both pickup and drop off. His communications were both prompt and clear. There was one slight issue. The propane tank was not full when we picked up the RV. This was a bit inconvenient. We discussed it with Mike at the end of the trip and I have every confidence that he will make sure the issue doesn't happen again.

This rig is seriously ready for wherever you want to go. We took it for a weekend with no hookups and were totally comfortable, with everything we needed. Bed is real comfortable, lots of storage, smart design for all the features and functions. Also super easy to drive, would recommend to anyone who doesn't have experience with larger vehicles.
