We went from travel trailers to RV to keep from having to pull over to use the bathroom. Or get something out of a cooler. But mostly, so we could socialize or play games traveling to our destinations. It makes the road time better. And it helps to keep everyone from just turning on the electronics and zoning out. Our kids are grown, but they come with us as much as they can. It's about the journey, and the destination. I love winter time camping. It's hard to beat cooking on an open flame, sipping hot beverages, and getting warm by the campfire. After all. It is called "The Great Outdoors".

The "Coastal Cruiser" is great for long weekends, trips to family, vacations and even some last-minute getaways. It has a comfy rear bed for 2, and an overhead bunk for 2 more. Add in the dinette sleeper and 1 or 2 more kids can stow away. Not too big at 26 feet, good size for those new to RVing.

We had a great time using the RV for our long road trip! Greg was very helpful and always available to us. The camper was well stocked and easy to drive. This was the way to travel.

Nice RV with all the basic amenities. Runs great and easy to drive. There are a few negatives mostly because of the age of the RV. First the generator is not working. Second, they only allow awning use at 100% renters' liability which also isn't disclosed until pick up. Finally, lot of things not working- oven, cable TV hook up, and on the last night all AC power went out at 2 am including the AC (problem beyond tripping breakers). Owners are nice and responsive but this RV is showing it's age.

Greg’s answer

I asked Tim to read the rental agreement prior to the rental. We do not allow dry camping, hence the generator. The RA states very clearly that awnings are 100% responsibility of the renter. Not something new, just highlighted on the RA by me at checkout. When the RV left my home, everything worked. It had been plugged in for 3 days to get the coach cool, batteries charged, refrigerator cooled down, etc. I don't know if Tim plugged into a bad pole or wrong amperage, but when the RV came back, the transfer switch was burned and melted. I gave him a free night, 3 night rental, and had to eat the cost of replacing the switch and fully cleaning the RV since he did not do that before returning.

First time RV’ing! Most pleasant experience. The RV was clean, stocked and has been well maintained. Very flexible with pickup and return times. Thank you Greg and Family for sharing your RV!

This was my first experience with an RV and this was the perfect vehicle to start with. Greg gave me a thorough overview of using the RV and had printed setup/tear down instructions. It was very clean and well stocked with everything you need on a trip. Sounds trivial, but I was so happy to find bag clips (for some chips) in the drawer. The coffee maker was a hybrid that takes regular grounds or K-cups. The bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable and the a/c worked well. I felt safe and comfortable in this vehicle. I'm glad I brought a thick dog bed because the floor between the front seats gets pretty warm while driving, but my dog was very happy laying next to me. Overall, Greg was great to rent from - flexible, prompt responses, and thorough.

We had a great time with this RV, the owners fully stocked the camper with a table, chairs lanterns, extra batteries, etc. They took their time orienting us and were helpful throughout the trip. Overall a wonderful experience!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q. What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A. We try to be as flexible as we can on pickup and dropoff times. We both work full time, so midday is usually not good. Evenings and weekends are usually wide open.

Q. Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A. Having a spotter is one of the best tools you can have. Whether pulling into the spot and locating all the hookups or backing in a parking lot, or checking the level. A second pair of eyes outside the RV is a huge benefit.
