Before the start of your trip, it is required to complete a pre-rental orientation of the RV. This orientation will take about 1-2 hours, depending on any prior experience you have with a RV. It takes time to do a thorough and complete walkthrough, so please plan accordingly.

Campground Reservations: We are not responsible for campground reservations – including cancelations for COVID. All campground reservations must be made separately from your reservation with us, with the campground’s reservation agency. All campground and campsite fees are separate from and in addition to the rental price and fees under this agreement. No refunds will be given for campsite reservation errors.

Awnings: We DO allow the usage of the exterior awning, but advise using caution! This is for your own protection, because they are NOT COVERED by insurance and they are very expensive to repair or replace if damaged. Damage to awnings, including damage while driving, any acts of nature, or negligence are 100% your responsibility and will exceed your security/damage deposit amount. The charge for a broken awning regardless of fault during your rental is $2,000.

No children under the age of 13 or 80lbs in the vehicle, due to front seat availability only.
No more than two guests may use the rental at any time.
No driving or operating machinery, bikes, SUP, etc while under the influence.
No operating add-ons (e-bikes or SUP boards) without proper safety equipment. (i.e. properly fitted life vests / helmets / etc.)
No smoking, of any kind, indoors or outdoors within 15 ft. of the vehicle or outdoors while any doors/windows/fans open. ($1500+ Fee will be assessed.)
No climbing on the Roof or storing luggage or anything on the roof.

No Operating the vehicle without a seatbelt or with passengers who are not properly restrained. This includes operation with more passengers than listed in the rental agreement.

Do not drive the vehicle without completing a pre-flight drill and securing all systems, objects, linens, and kitchen/bath-wares in the coach first. Ensure all overhead bins are locked (Push buttons are in and not popped out.) We are not liable for any damage that occurs to your belongings or to ours if this drill isn't completed prior to every operation of the vehicle.

Do not operate any systems without confidence you have read the instructions and asked any questions first. We would prefer a late night text to ensure you know how to use something in the coach to a repair bill and the navigation of your insurance policy on the vehicle through Outdoorsy. Do us both a favor and just ask. We are here to serve you! If you break a system in the coach by using it incorrectly we will make a claim to your insurance and also withhold your full deposit, especially if you did not ask for help or follow instructions/directions.

If something breaks, spills, or causes any kind of mess or damage please take photos and send them to us in a text and call us for guidance on how to either clean or repair the vehicle. We understand accidents happen and if you send us photos and equip us with information and details we can provide you with top-quality service and help get it fixed. (Example: something spills on the upholstery. Contact us and we can advise you on how to get it cleaned asap so you don't get charged your deposit. If you don't inform us and send photos we cannot help.) If we discover damage, messes, spills after the vehicle has already been returned then you will be charged the cleaning bill as well as an infraction charge listed below.

Maintain plumbing systems diligently. Absolutely no feminine products of any kind should go into the black tank. Use only the provided toilet paper or RV septic safe toilet paper. Use the provided black tank drop-in packets after every clean out. Only use the black tank for human waste and toilet paper. Absolutely no coffee grounds, food particles, egg shells, or oils down the sink drains. Diligently wipe all plates clean with a paper towel before washing them and be sure to empty sink filters and strainers into the trash. Utilize the soaps and cleaning supplies provided as alternative brands may damage the plumbing or vehicle finishes.

Waste Holding Tanks: There should be nothing, including, but not limited to feminine napkins or tampons, diapers, tissues, napkins, etc. put into the black water waste holding tank as this will cause it to become clogged and require an exceptional amount of cleaning to clear. You will be provided with many rolls of RV safe toilet paper and we ask that this is the ONLY thing put into the waste holding tank. There is to be nothing other than sink or shower water put into the gray water holding tank. Any type of food particles put into the gray tank may cause a clog that will require extensive cleaning &/or repair to remove. Use the outdoor shower for washing off sand or dogs. Waste holding tanks (Gray and Black) must be emptied prior to return and valves left CLOSED, and the screw cap left ON. If tank levels do not read EMPTY on the control panel, you will be charged a $150 dump fee. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Clean the vehicle prior to returning it with the provided supplies. Sweep, vacuum(using a coin operated vacuum if needed), wipe down all surfaces with provided cleaning agents including all bathroom surfaces and floor. DO NOT mop floors inside or attempt to wash the exterior of the vehicle. This is why we charge a cleaning fee for the careful and meticulous cleaning that needs to happen on the exterior to protect all systems, seals, and solar panels. etc.

The fine for all infractions and violations of the above listed rules is $250 per infraction in addition to a deduction from your deposit to cover the cost of a total new replacement for any equipment inside or outside the coach/vehicle. If any add-on is damaged in the process then a new replacement will be deducted from your deposit in addition to the fee.

The vehicle is not "winterized" and cannot sustain temperatures below 32 degrees for longer than three hours. Check the weather before you drive and along your route with https://driveweatherapp.com/ If we become aware of low temps on your planned road map, we will alert you to change course or delay your route to or through the designated low temps. In the case of a major winter storm we will work with you to find an acceptable new or different route. Violation of this rule, unwillingness to delay or change course, or driving in sustained temperatures below freezing with forfeit your deposit and trigger an insurance claim when the vehicle is returned for any parts that froze or sustained damage in the process. If damage is sustained it may require the immediate return of your vehicle or a delay in your journey while the vehicle is being repaired. Any resulting displacement will be entirely your responsibility. If you chose to fly home you will be responsible for a one-way drop off and incur the additional cost of airfare from the owner's location to the vehicle location and $10/mile to return the vehicle to it's home location.

The vehicle is equipped with a dashcam and GPS fencing system. If you intentionally disable these systems we will text you to find out what's wrong. If you do not respond promptly we will require the immediate return of the vehicle and the forfeiture of all deposits and funds for all remaining rental nights. We have a zero tolerance policy for disabling this systems. This surveillance is fully disclosed here and your agreement to this surveillance is assumed upon confirmation of renting the vehicle.

The vehicle cannot be taken across the border into Mexico for insurance purposes. If the vehicle is nearing the border and we haven't been made aware of this in your road map then you will receive a warning to return the vehicle immediately and forfeit your full deposit and any remaining days in your trip. If you fail to comply the police will be called and the vehicle will be reported stolen immediately. It's perfectly fine to take the van to Tucson and other beautiful border towns, but we need to be made aware of your itinerary. The vehicle utilizes GPS geo fencing and we will be alerted if you change course and go outside of your designated road map. In this case we will always check on you and work to get ahold of you first and only contact authorities if you cannot be reached for some reason. This guarantees a mutually safe and friendly trip for all renters and owner. The fee for violating this rule is the full deposit plus any loss or damages to the vehicle. This could include full new replacement ($150,000+)if the vehicle crosses the border and cannot be recovered.

The vehicle is not meant for overlanding, off-roading, or 4-wheel drive excursions on non-designated US roads, highways, and interstates. Approved surfaces include maintained paved roads, maintained dry graded dirt or gravel roads at low speeds with no major potholes, and designated campground roads that are maintained. If the road does not look like it is maintained it is not an approved surface and fees may be assessed for damage to the undercarriage systems, suspension, wheels, tires, etc. You will also be fully liable for all roadside assistance required in these scenarios if you find the vehicle is out of service. This is an expensive vehicle to tow as it must be done on a long flatbed tow truck with capacity for over 10,000lbs. The tires cannot be changed in the wild. If the vehicle leaves the geo-fenced area created when you share with us your designated Road Map, then we will send a text message alerting you so that you can fill us in on why the vehicle is in that location. If this policy is violated you will forfeit the full amount of your deposit and will be charged for any mechanical or cosmetic failure as a result of driving on an unapproved surface.
