In a spectacular setting in Grand Valley lies the city of Grand Junction. To the west is the Colorado National Monument, a series of canyons and mesas which have to be seen to be believed. To the southeast, the magnificent Grand Mesa soars above everything else, and to the north are the breathtaking Book Cliffs. Rent an RV in Grand Junction and see it all for yourself. The Colorado River runs through the city so you can enjoy fishing to your heart's content, or have fun white water rafting. The Grand Junction area is very popular for mountain biking and the single track trails are a challenge. The valley is a major fruit-growing area, so expect to see beautiful orchards and vineyards. In recent years, wineries have been established throughout the valley. Adults might like to visit the Two Rivers Winery, just five miles behind Colorado National Monument. The wine is great, so why not enjoy a wine-tasting and then take a couple of bottles home with you to enjoy happy hour. Grand Junction Visitors Center is a great place to stop when you arrive in town. The staff here are all friendly, knowledgeable, and keen to answer your questions.
