Knowles Overlook Campground

Knowles Overlook Campground has 7 undeveloped sites that feature outstanding scenery of the Colorado River and the Black Ridge Canyon Wilderness. A high clearance vehicle is required to access this site and 4-wheel drive is recommended. Trailers and RV's are not advised due to the rough road. There is a pit toilet at this site. Please remove your garbage at the end of your visit. There is a 7 day camping limit.


Driving directions to Knowles Overlook Campground

from Grand Junction travel west on I-70 and take exit 2 towards Rabbit Valley. Take a left over the interstate and travel straight into McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area. Take a right at the first intersection and a left at the second intersection. Stay on the main road for approximately 2.8 miles and take a left. The campground is approximately 1.3 miles further.

Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
