****OPTIONAL ADD ONS:****
WALMART GROCERY PICKUP: ADD ON OPTION
Make your vacation EASY & STRESS-FREE! Order groceries and supplies online from the Walmart in Kalispell. (We’ll need to discuss pickup day/time via chat.) Designate me as the pickup person. I’ll drive down, pickup your groceries and stock the camper for you! No worries at all! You can show up to your delivered camper that is fully stocked.
************
FIREWOOD BUNDLES: ADD ON OPTION
Make life easy and let us set up your camper and deliver your firewood too! All you have to do is cook the smores!
************
SMALL WEBBER GRILL: ADD ON OPTION
For cooking a few burgers or hot dogs. 1 cannister of propane is supplied.
************
TANK DUMP: ADD ON OPTION
You may need this if you get a camping spot without full hookups but still want to shower in the camper, wash dishes, etc. We will take the camper, dump the gray and black tanks and refill the freshwater tank. If you choose this option, we can coordinate a time that is convenient to you to close up the camper, secure all lose articles and take it just down the road for a refresh. It should only take about 30-45 minutes.
************
CAMPING SPOT: ADD ON OPTION
The Valley is crazy this year! Did you wait too long to find a camping spot or is the pricing at RV parks just too outrageous (YES!)? Let us be your basecamp! We're near the intersection of Hwy 40/Hwy 2/Halfmoon Road, about 20 minutes to the West gate of Glacier National Park . We're offering a spot at our home with camper rental as an additional charge - just choose it as an add-on at booking. What is provided if you choose this option?
* A full fresh water tank (31 gallons of water), 30 AMP electric hookup, camper, and ONE parking spot for car/truck are provided. This electrical hookup will run the AC, microwave, tv, all outlets, refrigerator - everything a campground would run.
*You're camping in our driveway, to the side of our house. We live in a subdivision but the homes are each on about 1.2 acres, so much more space than a RV park.
*You will need to be very mindful of water consumption because we do not offer a sewer hookup. As a couple, being very conservative with showers, we can go 3 days. However, if you'd like we have an extra tank dump/ water fill as an add-on service, just choose it at booking.

Recommendations

PLEASE NOTE: Renter will be responsible for booking a camping spot and ensuring the camper fits.

For an ideal stay, we recommend you book a campsite with FULL HOOKUP:
• 30 or 50 amp electricity
• sewer and water hookup
• 21 foot camping spot for the camper + your vehicle length for parking. 35-40 ft spot is ideal.

Campground or RV park reservations are the responsibility of the person renting the camper. No walk-in or first-come reservations. You must provide a copy of your rental reservation 7 days prior to delivery and be available for check in/delivery and checkout.

Free delivery (30 miles) gets you to the following campgrounds that you will love:
* Columbia Falls RV Park (one of our favorites: it's downtown, walk to restaurants, coffee shops, bars + a great farmers market in summer with delicious food trucks -on Thursdays!)
* Mountain View RV Park (Columbia Falls)
* Glacier Peaks (Columbia Falls)
* Whitefish KOA
* Spruce Park on the River (one of our favorites in Kalispell -it’s on the Flathead River with beautiful views AND you can fish from the banks!)
* West Glacier KOA (very close to Glacier National Park west entrance & a fantastic campground with pools!)
* Glacier Campground (very close to Glacier National Park west entrance)
* Mountain Meadow RV Park (very close to Glacier National Park west entrance)

Other things to note

Many campsites here do not have electricity, water and/or sewer, so it's best to double check before booking that you are receiving a full hookup.

We are not allowed to deliver the camper inside Glacier National Park or federally managed campgrounds. If you have any questions about campsites please ask. We want you to have a great vacation and we want to be upfront and adhere to park rules and regulations.

The camper does have a small solar panel, but with no electrical hookup, solar will only run the lights and USB plugs. The AC/Heat, microwave/convection oven, electrical outlets, TV/Antenna will NOT work on solar only - 30 AMP needed. Water heater and fridge run on propane.
------------
Please note that in hot temperatures and full sun, the AC and refrigerator do struggle. We have the standard Dometic AC and fridge, both are new in 2022 but realistically in temperatures over 90 (or in the 80s and in full sun) both struggle to keep cool. This is a glamping experience and it will keep you cooler than outdoors but you should not expect the interior to be in the low 60's.
------------

We want you to have a great time in our little Tumbleweed, but just so that we are all on the same page, a few non-negotiable rules:
-------
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OR VAPING (anything) in the trailer or close enough for the smoke to go into the trailer.
-------
NO Pets. We love furry friends but Glacier National Park is not the best place for them. They are not allowed on any trail within the National Park and are not allowed to be left in any vehicle. While this is a great adventure for you, it would not be fun or safe for them to be left in a small camper all day. Check out Glacier K9 for boarding, our pup loves them!
-------
NO moving the camper after delivery. We will drop off and setup the trailer at your designated campsite and then come back to pick it up (all for FREE). The camper is tracked using GPS.
-------
Montana is beautiful! And there are a million things to do, let us help you plan your trip! We've been tourists and planned trips here - it can be overwhelming. We understand and we want you to have the trip of a lifetime! Let us recommend outfitters to take you on guided tours or point you in the right direction for reasonable bike, boat/kayak/SUP, hiking gear rentals. We take advantage of every minute of summer and we'd love to help introduce you to some local, reasonably priced options.
-------
-------
Unfortunately, we must add this in here:
* The camper is not to be moved under any circumstance. It is tracked using GPS. If the camper leaves the camping spot it was delivered to, a $1,000 fee per day will be accessed, in addition to forfeiture of the deposit.
*Key Handoff & Departure: if you are not available for a key handoff (delivery or drop-off) at the agreed upon time and do not communicate this in a timely manner, we will wait 30 additional minutes. After that, we will need to set up a new drop off or pickup day and you will be charged for an additional day’s rental plus a $70 convenience fee. If you know you will be late, please just communicate this in a timely manner and we can reschedule the meetup time at no charge.

Meet your host, Chris

Member since 2021

Hi I'm Chris! My husband Tony and I live in the great state of Montana, near Glacier National Park. Like so many others, we visited, fell in love with the state and made it our goal to live here. We lived in our fifth wheel for almost 2 years, found a house, sold the fifth wheel and vowed to never ever stay in a camper again! But that was short-lived because we like to travel and camp! And now we have our teeny little Tumbleweed, a 20 ft travel trailer, that we enjoy during the summer for special trips. We're offering that here for others to enjoy. We'll do all the hard work for you: deliver, set up and pickup.

Rules and policies

  • Not pet friendly
  • No music festivals
  • No tailgating
  • No smoking
  • Unlimited mileage

We want you to have a great time in our little Tumbleweed, but just so that we are all on the same page, a few non-negotiable rules:
- Interior Damage Protection Insurance is REQUIRED. Standard insurance does not cover anything that may happen to the interior or to the awning. This is an additional fee added to the stationary insurance package that protects all of us.
- Campground or RV park reservations are the responsibility of the person renting the camper. You must provide a copy of your rental reservation 7 days prior to delivery and be available for check in/delivery and checkout. No walk-in or first-come reservations.
- ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OR VAPING (anything) in the trailer or close enough for the smoke to go into the trailer. There are no exceptions to this, you will forfeit $500 of security deposit for additional cleaning. If you are going to smoke or vape, please just rent a smoker friendly camper (not this one).
- NO PETS. If you have a pet in the unit without prior approval there will be a $300 fine that will be claimed from your security deposit for additional cleaning.
- NO moving the camper after delivery. We will drop off and setup the trailer at your designated campsite and then come back to pick it up. If the trailer is moved, you will forfeit the security deposit. The camper is tracked with GPS.
- No climbing on the roof. The roof is not intended to hold a person's bodyweight.
- Montana weather is unpredictable and quickly changes. Please extend the awning only when actively using it. Retract it when you leave the camper and when you sleep. Our winds will destroy an awning within minutes.
- This unit will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests, but if you leave the trailer in a state that requires EXCESSIVE cleaning there will be an additional $150 fee claimed from your security deposit.

The owner was great to communicate and help with any questions. The trailer was clean and they showed us how to operate it all. Everythung worked well. We had a great trip. They did stress it was small but we felt it was too small for us, for future.

Chris’s answer

Thank you for your review Jeanne! We're so glad that you had a great time and we really appreciate your business. And yes, you are absolutely correct to point out for future renters that the Tumbleweed is quite small at only 20'8" and is best suited as a basecamp for outdoor adventures. Glorified camping, with all the modern conveniences, in a small package!
