I think that it is fair to offer a bit of context for this particular review.
Joan was traveling during 115 degree heat, the rear air conditioning unit was tested after her return and was found to reduce the temperature by 15 degrees from inlet to outlet. Depending on what windows that were open at the time, there may have been no possible way to overcome the heat. The front vehicle AC functions perfectly, and at no point did the renter attempt to use that while parked. The backup camera was tested and works 100% of the time...If you turn on the headlights.
That detail was described to the renter during the pre-rental walk through as well as clearly spelled out in our very informative instruction manual. The window knob was located and reinstalled, it had fallen between the wall and the mattress, thank you for letting us know. The ceiling panel was reinstalled within five minutes upon the vehicle return, with the tools and screws that were already in the van. We attempted to assist the renter over the phone, but the renter was unwilling to attempt to screw it back on. We had her stow the panel in the storage compartment beneath the van.The dishes cabinet latch has been adjusted and operates securely now.
Many of these issues are related to the vehicle being operated on unimproved roads. The fridge operates by burning propane, some heat is normal above the fridge. At no point during the rental did the fridge fail to operate. The little black specks have been identified as a bit of plastic from the Microwave located directly above the counter. The microwave has been secured further, and no more specks have been noted. Again, rough roads may be to blame here. Thank you for letting us know. The Quilt has been replaced. It was the first quilt that my wife made many years ago, we felt that it offered a bit of home for us and our renters, I can see that it may appear as an old blanket to others.Joan, was quite pleasant to deal with, I commend her for setting out on a new adventure in her life. The van life isn't for everyone.
