Overview

This camper gets you closest to the wild. It will follow your truck to the farthest reaches of the Rockies, and will keep you cozy in the dead of winter. If you are fly-fishing, The Turtle will be your home-base for exploring all of the hard-to-get-to places that all the magazines talk about. It sleeps six, so if you are group hiking, this is a great home-base to keep your gear. The fabric on the cushions is like-new and there are no rips or tears, Bring your sleeping bags and you will sleep like a baby on these 4-inch foam cushions. The two-burner cook stove can be hooked up inside or out and the inside lights are powered by a new deep-cycle battery. The shore hookups are for water and ac power and the ac recharges the batteries off of a brand new converter. The brand new plumbing consists of a new outside check-valve for shore water and all new PEX plumbing with a new pump faucet. Included is a five-gallon tank for boon-docking the faucet with hand-pump power. The canvas is pretty good. There are a few patches, but no leaks. If you get a leak, there are patches in the drawer and glue to fix it. Please let us know if you use this so that we can follow up on it. We buy propane directly from the local refinery, so we only charge 50 cents per pound of propane consumed. We will weigh your tanks on the way out and subtract the weight on the way in. If you refill, we will credit you the difference in cash. If you want to use our small, Harbor Freight generator, let us know in the booking. It requires two-stroke oil and you cannot store it in the popup. It must be carried/lashed down in your truck bed for fire safety along with any fuel storage. This camper weighs 1100 pounds and the tongue weight is 100 pounds. Make sure your vehicle can tow this. Let us know your make, model and engine and we can check if you are OK to tow. You need a 2 inch ball and you need a hitch with a pin lock. If you need a 2 inch ball, let me know and you can borrow mine. You will want to make sure that your insurance on your tow vehicle covers liability/comp/collision when renting a trailer. It usually does, but the best bet is to get your insurance agent to write a specific binder on this trailer for the period of your rental. We know for a fact that State Farm and American Family will write a binder if you already have insurance with them. Check your own insurer and let us know if we should add to this list. If you need a tow vehicle, you may rent The Beast here https://www.outdoorsy.com/rv-rental/denver_colorado/2000_dodge_2500_20793-listing
