Jessica was wonderful to work with. Great communicator and very accommodating. Although Gertrude was bigger than I anticipated, she was easy to handle. We did have to park in RV parking spots or take up more than one car space in a parking lot but it worked out fine for us.
Very spacious inside, lots of head room (I’m 5’6) well laid out, and comfortable inside. It felt like home. Plenty of counter space for making meals, adequate frig and cupboard space for our 5 day food supply, deep sink, all the necessary cutlery, pots and pans, strainer, can opener, etc. Loved the queen sized bed. Comfy mattress, quality bedding and very comfy pillows.
The magnetic window shades were fantastic. When they were placed in the windows, no one on the outside could tell our lights were on in the inside.
Captains chairs up front were very comfortable for long drives. Plenty of storage for maps, water bottles, sunglasses etc.
Took her up some steep mountains and had plenty of power. Decent fuel economy too.
What a conversation starter. People came up to us frequently to have a look. She’s a beauty inside. Just like the photos indicate.
Highly recommend.

Jessica and Tom are fabulous hosts. Gertrude is a custom build tailor made for race support and a great time off the grid. She treated us quite well and we hope to see her again!:)

We took Gertrude to MOAB and Arapaho, and could not have had a better time. She was spacious, comfortable and powerful enough to get through any mountain road with ease. Would 100% rent Gertrude again and Jessica could not have been a better host!

Bill and Sue,As we shared with you the van encountered mechanical issues on its last trip and we had to make a tough decision to avoid sending you off knowing there could be an issue that could ruin your trip. The mechanical issues were related to a Mercedes recall and after speaking to our normal mechanic, we confirmed that we needed to work with the Mercedes dealership directly. We were and are doing everything in our power to get the issue resolved asap and felt terrible for having to cancel on you at all.It felt like the right thing to do to allow you to find a better option in the moment and enjoy your trip without the stress of this. I can confirm from your communication with me that Outdoorsy was able to find you an alternate option and you will still get to enjoy your trip as planned. I also know as we are dealing with the repairs, even though you do not agree, we made the right decision to ensure you were able to have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Gertrude was a wonderful van to rent. The owners were so easy to work with and great at communicating ensuring that everything would go smoothly for our trip. The van was clean and exactly how described. The bed was very comfortable. We especially loved all the windows and the blackout blinds for privacy. We will definitely consider renting Gertrude again. Thank you for sharing your van with us.

Jessica was great to work with, excellent communication and was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend renting from them - and the van is super comfortable especially the driver's seat. Did several 6+ hour days behind the wheel and was not sore.

Gertrude is great! There's plenty of storage room for gear, and the Diesel engine handles the high mountain passes with no problem. Check-in with Jessica was quick and effective. I'll definitely rent Gertrude again, and recommend her with no reservations.

Jessica was great to work with! Very helpful in explaining the features of the van creating a quick handoff. Gertrude was an awesome camper van. Very easy to drive and had great handling in snowy conditions. Would definitely rent again!

We knew Gertrude would be very nice, but she far exceeded our expectations. She is a beautiful vehicle, spacious, and comfortable. She was easy to drive, kept us warm when it was very cold, comfortably slept three, and helped us have a wonderful vacation. I hope we can do it again soon.

What a wonderful experience! Gertrude was an absolute rock star during my wife and I's recent trip out to Denver. Jessica couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, and her walkthrough with the van was thorough and well explained. We had absolutely zero issues with the van, the heater worked perfectly over night, the bed was incredibly cozy, and it offered plenty of space for the two of us! Even for the size, Gertrude was easy to drive and we quickly became comfortable maneuvering through campsites. We will absolutely be renting Gertrude again (fingers crossed that she's available on our next trip out)! One of the best weekends I have ever had.

Gertrude was AWESOME!!! Jessica and Tom went above and beyond to make our trip experience exceptional. They went out of their way to make the pickup/drop off process as smooth as possible. They provided a lot of great information regarding camping, food, activities, etc. The van is equipped with more than everything you could need/want. They have thought the entire process through so well and have invested a lot of time and love into Gertrude to create a fun and unique experience for everyone. My husband and I road tripped through Colorado and created some incredible memories in Gertrude. We found the van to be so comfortable with all of the amenities you could desire including a comfy bed, pillows, comforter, etc. We could not recommend renting Gertrude enough. You won’t regret it!!!

We rented Gerty (what I now call her) to travel to Yellowstone and Grand Teton for a long weekend. We went well over the allotted 100 miles/day but it only ended up being an extra $170 and well worth the extra miles so if that's something making you hesitant about booking I would say not to worry too much about that. Jess and Tom were great in being flexible for pick up and drop off, were responsive throughout the process, and even offered their cell phone numbers for any questions that came up during our trip. Gerty drove really smoothly and we got a lot of compliments along the way! You have everything you need and the bed is quite warm at night in the cooler weather trips. Already thinking about what our next trip may be!

This van was absolutely epic! Went to Moab for the week and this was perfect. Heater worked great at night when it snowed and the vent was great for when it was warm. It was clean and everything was so well thought out when they built this van. Highly highly recommend for anyone’s next adventure. Will for sure being looking to rent for my next adventure!

We had an amazing time taking Jessica and Tom’s tricked out sprinter van (‘Gertrude’) for a car camping trip around Colorado. The van was in awesome condition and came with everything we needed for the trip. Jessica and Tom were super responsive throughout and really easy to work with. We are already thinking about our next trip!
