We are an Alaskan family of 6. We have 2 dogs; a goldendoodle and a labradane. We love traveling around Alaska in comfort. The weather can be unpredictable, but we are always warm in our RV! The husband and kids are born and raised Alaskans, mom is a former military brat transplant. We can offer plenty of tips and trip ideas, just ask! We especially love Homer.

Learned a lot about RVs during our two weeks.
Rained hard for a few days and one of the slides leaked when the RV was moving.
The black tank keep reading fuller than it was. Flushed it once on our own and the owner flushed it. Next time it was dumped it still read incorrectly. For a newbie to RVs this made me nervous as I didn’t want any overflowing of tanks.
The other part that was tricky was the seat cushions to the dinette keep falling off with the kids buckled in. I tried adding a gripper to the bottom but it only helped a little. RVs are not made for car seats the cushions are to soft and even on the tightest with the latch used it still ended up tilting by the end of the day.
My kids loved traveling in the RV and my daughter asked if we could buy one. It was nice to have the generator option as there was a few times we needed to warm something up and we weren’t connected to electricity. There was tons of storage for our family of 6. I didn’t end up using a lot of the cabinets but there was tons.

The RV was everything we'd hoped for. It got us from Anchorage to Homer, AK and back again successfully and comfortably.

Wow! What an amazing adventure. This RV was PERFECT for our family to get out and visit Alaska. Everything was in great condition, we had everything we needed for our adventures, and it was easy enough to drive that we could get to wherever we needed.

The MillerFam rental was a very pleasant experience. The checking out process was super thorough so there were no problems during our trip. The camper was very clean and everything worked. It's a big camper that drives easy and we felt quite palatial in it without being intimidated by the size. We would definitely rent from the Millers again. Outdoorsy was seamless and easy from start to finish. We felt confident we were getting a good working rental and we did. Checking back in with the Millers was easy and quick. All in all a great experience. So much better than going through the usual rental companies!

Jennifer’s answer

What an amazing compliment, thank you!! You all were great to work with, hope to see you next year!

It was a wonderful experience. Everything in the RV worked properly and, although we weren't used to traveling in an RV, we got used to everything very quickly and were able to travel easily around Alaska. Jenn and her family were very kind and helpful to us. We highly recommend renting this RV from them and taking a few days to make your way around the state!

Jennifer’s answer

Thank you so much for the kind words, and thank you for taking such great care of our RV!!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What happens if we go above the allotted mileage?
A.
There is a fee of $0.35 per mile. Ask about adding a mileage package if you think you may need more than the allotted 200 miles per day.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
May pick up the RV anytime from 12pm or before 9pm, on approval when our schedule allows. You may choose the early pick up add-on if you need to pick up before 12pm, and the late drop off option if dropping off later than 3pm.

Q.Where can you take the RV?
A.
Most likely any state or private campgrounds! We do not allow the RV to leave Alaska. It also is not allowed in certain rough road areas. Let us know where you're planning on going so we can help you determine if your trip would be OK for our RV to travel!
