Geneva is an unincorporated community in Seminole County, Florida. The area around Geneva was first settled by Russian families in the 1800s; one of these families donated the piece of land that the Geneva graveyard currently sits upon. Initially, children were schooled in people's homes until the first schoolhouse was built in 1874. Several more schoolhouses were built intermittently, replacing the ones before them. At least one of these older buildings still exists.

Search for an RV in Seminole County and you are on your way to an unforgettable vacation experience no hotel or resort could replicate. There are other towns and cities you should consider visiting while you are here. Titusville was originally named Sand Point but was renamed after Col. Henry Theodore Titus who won a bet while playing dominoes, regarding who the town would be renamed after. Orlando is the home of the ICON Orlando, a technology Ferris wheel utilizing ski lift-style cabins; the ICON has a London counterpart. Winter Garden's motto is “A charming little city with a juicy past”. Apopka has a park catering just to dogs (Doctor's Dog Park), with water fountains, showers and more. Sanford and its surrounding area was, in the late 1800s, the largest shipper of oranges in the world. Your Geneva travel trailer rental is your introduction to this scenic and historical part of Florida.

The Great Outdoors

Charles H. Bronson State Forest is home to the St. Johns River and its corresponding floodplain, which includes wet prairie, cypress swamp, sandhill, and pine flatwoods. It is a protected recreational preserve, providing locals and visitors with opportunities to hike, picnic, observe wildlife, and go horseback riding. Photographers and nature enthusiasts have a chance to spot deer, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, and other bird and animal species. The park was named after a former Florida State Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner.

Seminole State Forest is a multi-use protected recreation area that has been managed by the Florida Forest Service since 1990. It is comprised of more than 17 ecologically diverse plant communities and the wildlife they support. Single-use and multi-use trails are maintained throughout the park, supporting activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and off-road biking.

Scottsmoor Flatwoods Sanctuary East is a semi-developed outdoor recreational area comprised of pine and scrubby flatwoods, scrub forest, and wetlands. It is open from morning to dusk for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian riding; trails are well marked with signage and informational posts placed throughout the park. Exploring The City

There is a lot to see and do in and around Geneva. This is Florida, though, and it wouldn't be a Florida vacation with taking a ride in an airboat; there is at least one tour company that offers these. Another tour company offers rides on an old-fashioned riverboat. Those looking to combine activity with these evening's dessert should check out a strawberry plantation where you can pick the strawberries yourselves. The young (and the young at heart) should have a look at a local gym that specializes in boxing lessons. There are antique malls and art galleries, as well as plenty of shopping for whatever your heart desires.

When it's time to start thinking about dinner, Geneva once again shines. Most of the restaurants are locally owned and operated, so you can expect that ingredients will probably be fresh and locally sourced. One local Greek diner is a family-style restaurant with adequate but not fancy decor because all of their pride goes into the food they serve. Guests eating here should try the Santorini chicken and have the flaming cheese for dessert. A local Chinese restaurant provides American-style Chinese takeout in large portions and at a reasonable price. It has been there for more than two decades and has a loyal following; customers ordering their dinner here should try the crab rangoon and the lo mein. Don't be ashamed to take the leftovers home to your Geneva RV rental, you wouldn't be the first.

You also have the option of picking up some groceries and preparing a meal yourself in your Geneva luxury RV rental. You couldn't do this in a hotel room, let alone a minivan, and that is why RV vacations are the way to go. Take-out or your own cooking, there is nothing quite as good as enjoying your repast under a star-filled sky. Enjoy!
