Meet your host, Andrew

Member since 2019

We have 2 dogs, and 3 grown children. We love traveling, camping and hiking. Camping is a way we keep our family connected and see all the beautiful things the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We would like to offer this opportunity to other families as well. No matter where you end up, being away from it all and still having the amenities of modern life is a balance that suits us.

Had a great time camping w/ this beautiful trailer. Andrew & Julie were very accommodating and thorough. With a before trip check, so we would be familiar with the ins & outs of the trailer. Even a checklist inside to help out on the trip so we didn't miss anything. Trailer was stocked well with everything we needed, Bedding, Dishes, Utensils, Bluetooth Stereo, etc... We were dry camping for three days and the 50 gallon water tank was really nice. LED's throughout to save on battery power. Just an overall great experience!

Q.What type of vehicle is recommended for towing this size trailer?
A.
I personally recommend towing this camper with a 250 or 2500 truck minimum. That is a 3/4 ton truck. The suspension on 1/2 ton trucks is too soft and cannot handle the tongue weight safely. This puts heavy strain on the steering components and suspension and can result in an unsafe driving condition. I currently do not have a weight distribution hitch at this time, as I do not require one for my own tow vehicle.

Q.Are there different levels of Insurance available?
A.
Yes. There are 3 levels of Insurance to choose from. I require the use of the Outdoorsy Insurance coverage in order to rent my camper. I require the "Preferred" level of insurance as a minimum. You will thank me later. (Think deductibles) I also require interior insurance as well. Please familiarize yourself with Outdoorsy's insurance coverage. This is Extremely Important!

Q.Will I need the generator for Dry Camping?
A.
The short answer is YES. This is the best way I can explain why: The fridge, heater, stove, stereo and lights will work on batteries / propane. ANYTHING ELSE that needs to be plugged into a regular wall socket requires external power. i.e.: Coffee maker, A/C unit, hair dryer, toaster, t.v., etc.

Q.How big are the bunks?
A.
The 2 bunks are each twin size. They are wide, with one corner notched out. Please note: THERE IS A WEIGHT LIMIT FOR BUNKS Weight limit as set by the manufacturer is 300 # There is a placard affixed to the wall stating the weight limit as recommended by the manufacturer.
