The location is handy to access the walking trails at Life University, and a great spot to watch airplanes take off from Dobbins Air Force Base. Not far off I-75, you are only minutes away from White Water, Six Flags and other attractions in the Atlanta area. The Silver Comet Trail near Smyrna, Georgia is free of charge and a delightful place for an excursion. The trail that goes through three counties in Georgia is quiet, free of motors, and paved for easy movement. This is a favorite of hikers, horses, dog walkers, and many others. It is also wheelchair accessible. The trail is 61.5 miles long starting in Smyrna and ending at the state line with Alabama. The Silver Comet connects to the Chief Ladiga Trail at the state line. Both trails are fully paved and approximately 94.5 miles from Smyrna to Anniston, Alabama. The two trails are part of an effort by the PATH Foundation to build a network of off-road trails in and around Atlanta. This is a great place for the entire family or a group of friends to get some exercise on beautiful paths built for the residents and visitors in this area.

Twin Lakes RV Park is just 12 miles outside of Alpharetta, and has been welcoming recreational vehicles since the 1950s. It?s been owned and operated by the same family since 1976, and encompasses 50 acres of verdant, wooded space in the Georgia countryside. There are a few premium sites along with 120 standard sites, most with full utility hookups. Other on-site amenities include picnic tables, park swings, and horse shoes. Propane sales are available from Monday to Friday, and there?s a grocery store and laundromat only a mile away. Guests can also take advantage of more than 12 acres of catch and release trout fishing, so you can brag about the trophy that got away. A thirty minute drive will take you to several malls and outlet stores, along with Dahlongea, the ?gold town? where you can pan for gold and prospect for gems. An hour away is the Dutch village of Helen, famous for its crafted curiosities and horse-drawn carriage rides, and the nearby river is ideal for tubing.
Located on the shores of the Sweet Water Creek, the sites have a country like setting, but the park is not far from Atlanta, from your rustic stay and vibrant city attractions, you only need to drive 20 miles. Nearby attractions include Six Flags, Atlanta Zoo, and the Centennial Olympic Park. For the family RV rental trip there is a city park across the street.
