Good - the first thing you need to do is book an RV in Lincoln County. When you get a camper rental near Elijah Clark Campground, you won’t only be close to the water, but you’ll also have access to all the fun and convenient things that you usually find at an RV campground such as mini-golf, courts for volleyball and basketball, and loads of picnic shelters where you can have a delicious meal with friends and family. You’ll be comfortable too, just look at the several dumpsters, the dump station, as well as restrooms and showers. Many sites are pull-through and some ADA-friendly, and you’ll have water and electric hookups with 30/50 amp service. It might seem tempting, but you shouldn’t spend the whole camping vacation by your motorhome rental at Elijah Clark Campground, or you’ll miss out on all the exciting things in the area, like the nearby city of Lincolnton, Abbeville, and Parksville. You can also visit the larger cities of Columbia and Augusta, or just drive around in the lovely nature, full of bodies of water and with mountains in the distance - but not too far to visit.

The Great Outdoors

Elijah Clark State Park is so much more than just the delightful RV park, so leave your camper rental at Elijah Clark Campground and make the most of being in the beautiful area. There are more trails to check out, and if you want a little challenge as well, you can try geocaching. Every now and then, there’s an archery event, and you can go on nature walks, watch movies, or visit a log cabin replica of the home of Elijah Clark, a war hero during the Revolutionary War. You can also rent canoes and go water-skiing - just watch out for all the anglers. If you’d like to do even more fishing, there are several places in the area where you’ll find great waters for just that. Sit down and enjoy the peace and quiet, or have a little competition to see who can get the most fish in an afternoon. Even if you’re just competing against yourself, you might get more than enough for tonight’s dinner. While you’re in these wildlife management areas, you’ll want to keep your eyes open for just that: the abundant wildlife that’s all around you.Not quite done with the fishing just yet? Then hop into your RV rental and head to Mistletoe State Park, which just happens to be known as one of the finest bass fishing spots in the country. In this park, you’ll definitely be able to sort dinner out, and you can also bring your bike and ride around the beautiful area as well as go swimming or just chilling on the beach. Go birding, geocaching, or hiking, or join in on programs such as astronomy events, concerts, and nature walks. Just make sure not to leave the fish behind when you head back to Elijah Clark Campground.

Exploring the Area

There’s so much to do and see in the area, so park your RV rental in Augusta or Washington and take a look around. If you choose the latter and happen to be interested in military history, then you’ve definitely hit the motherlode. The place is full of exhibits and displays, so you won’t be disappointed. There are many more historic sites here, so there’ll be something for everyone. Any railway enthusiast needs to check out the Aiken Train Museum, and you’ll hear fascinating stories about Lucy Craft Laney, a slave who became one of the state’s most influential educators, at the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History. You can also find a bunch of fun events in the area, such as music festivals and farmers’ markets, and don’t forget about the delightful moonlight cruises. You better start packing your bags because it seems like you’ll be going on an RV vacation in Lincolnton, Georgia.

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
