Meet your host, Sonya

We have been a trailer family since my second kid was born. We were looking for a more comfortable way to camp and travel around with a baby after a few years of hectic car camping with our first born. That was a little over 7 years ago and started with a 27 foot bunk house. Then about a year later curiosity got the best of us on how long we could live in that little trailer and led us to a cross country trip that lasted 2 months. When we got back to Arizona we had a better idea of what we wanted in a trailer and upgraded to a 37 foot trailer and stayed in that for another 9 months. We still get out in that one on occasion and have some plans for it in the future but we were looking for something a little smaller to get us deeper into the woods. We really enjoy getting outdoors and want to share that love of camping with others.

Our trailer is only 18.7 feet long While traveling. This is on the smaller end of trailers, however each end has a pop out bed for when you get to your destination, giving you more room than a typical small trailer. You can sleep 4 adults comfortably with the full and queen bed. The couch and dinette both can be made into additional sleeping spaces for 2 to 3 small children or 2 adults that like to sleep in the fetal position. The couch converting to 4.5ft by 3.5ft and the dinette converting to 5.5ft by 3ft. We also have a regular trailer sized bathroom. The Jay Feather Hybrid gives you the best of the luxuries of a trailer, like indoor plumbing, heating, and medium size fridge, but also the open air tent feeling with the tent bed ends. Those tent ends let in so much light and air getting you closer to nature but still with some cushy comforts. 10% discount on rentals 3+ nights.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
We have a step by step manual that will go over this and will send it ahead of your trip so you can read over and familiarize yourself with the process. In addition we will go over this when you pick up the trailer as well.

Q.Do I need a brake controller installed in my vehicle?
Yes, our trailer is equipped with a braking system and to tow safely as it is intended will absolutely require a brake controller. We have had someone rent a truck through enterprise rent a car that was able to tow our trailer and had the brake controller and 7pin wire connector. I believe uhaul will also install an electric brake controller in your vehicle but I am unaware of the cost of this.

Q.What is the pre trip service fee for?
This is to make sure all surfaces of the trailer have been wiped down and sanitized. It is to cover the cost of making sure you leave with a full charged battery, full propanes, stocked toilet paper, and paper towels as well as cleaning supplies. We figured instead of charging a higher nightly rate or having to charge for propane or make you refill it we would just add this in up front.

Q.How come your security deposit is so high?
It's to cover any damage to the inside of the trailer or if it is returned in worse shape then it was received. It also is about the cost of the insurance deductible, so renters understand what they could be liable for, although it could be more than our $1500 deposit. The Basic insurance is a $2000 deductible, The essential is $1500 deductible, and the Premium a $1000 dedcutible. If we keep it higher then it's more helpful to the renter to understand near where costs could go.
