I have used Colorado Camper for a number of years. They are always friendly and helpful. Their campers are always clean and in great condition. We have had many great trips because of their campers. Will definitely be using them again.

Overall the camper and the people at CCR were great. The only issue was that the bed mattresses were a little thin. Could have been thicker and more comfortable.

I returned the camper and followed all instructions and I was still charged $350 for “not emptying the tank”. I ran the tank dry but when I returned it there was nobody available to check me out so I left and low and behold there was a mysterious clog that they charged me for. I wouldn’t rent from these people. I don’t trust them and neither should you.

Jessica & Lon’s answer

I show Miles on video surveillance returning on a Monday during business hours when we were available. We would have been happy to do a walk through and check for damages in addition to the waste tanks, but he didn't ask. He simply returned the camper and left. His camper was due out the same day, therefore we started checking the camper in immediately. He did not follow instructions to dump the tanks, and admitted as much when he contacted us about the charge. When he called, he admitted he hadn't read the email inclusive of pictures of 14 gallons of waste left in his camper that we had to remove by hand. The clog could not be photographed, as it was inside the tank. We opened the valves on the waste tank and nothing came out. This is evidence of a clog. When asked if he followed the written and verbal instructions given at pick up that state the renter must look into the toilet to ensure he only saw the bottom of the tank, he said nothing and hung up on us. We are more than happy to work with our customers if an effort has been made to dump the tanks; and we usually expect to get 5 gallons of waste from every camper. But Miles did not give us the opportunity to work with him. He also admitted he did not do what was required to dump the tanks. Fourteen gallons of waste is excessive and proof no effort was made. Miles, your statements are false, shameful, and rude.

Presenting the facts here, you can be the judge:
We came to rent a camper with a 2017 Toyota 4Runner and tow it back to my home
The camper did not work when I got to my home due to electrical problems. We needed it fixed as my in-laws were staying in the camper with us and already at the campsite
Colorado Camper scrambled and sent an electrician to fix about 6:30 pm, super appreciative they did that.
The Electrician fixed the problem and finished about 7:30 or 8:00 pm
In that time my in-laws found a friend had a 5th wheel and had somewhere to sleep. If we would have left at 8:00 we wouldn't have made it to the camp grounds until about 11:00 pm
We decided to leave the next morning IN THE EXACT SAME 4RUNNE!!! Never "changed vehicles". The electrician shortened the trailer line and then it would not stay plugged in. This delayed us another 4 or 5 hours and made us drive 44 miles one way back to the shop. Quite frankly Colorado Camper should have known that all 4Runners are the same and should have given us the extension from the start.

Jessica & Lon’s answer

You left a lot of facts out, Trip. You were a repeat renter and fully aware of our business practices. You communicated you had to have the issue addressed that night and we paid for the only electrician we could find to come and fix the electrical issue on the trailer. He shortened the pig tail by 1/2 inch, which is not enough to present the problem you had. We rent and are knowledgeable on campers, not 4Runners. This is no rental company nor private owner's responsibility. You texted the company the next morning "We will have to drive in our other car." So, we were surprised to see you at the facility the next morning, when you had communicated you needed nothing more from us. We compensated you for the mileage to retrieve fuses and even for the unexpected round trip to our business the next morning. We answered the phone after hours when you called and were grateful to be able to repair the camper when you needed it; you were compensated, and now you are upset because we are not giving you more money? Seems like your understanding of good customer service is skewed.
