Meet your host, Kasey

Member since 2023

Hi! We are Kasey and Jenn Kidd. We have lived here in the Grand Canyon National Park going on 5 years now. Prior to this, we were full time RVers for 6 years. We started our full time RVing in the northeast with out first stay in Upstate NY before heading to Florida and then to just outside San Diego CA. While full timing, we managed two RV parks making RVing a breeze for us. Currently we work inside the national park helping run a bike rental and tour company. We are pretty familiar with the Grand Canyon area, so if you have any questions at all we would be happy to help shape your visit! We have been traveling with our 2 Indian Runner ducks Olive and Caper. Duck are not the typical pet for RV travelers but they are so cute and entertaining. We also have a few acres just 30 minutes south of the park in Grand Canyon Junction are where we are building an off grid shipping container getaway and enjoying our newest hobby- beekeeping! We love to show off the canyon and share our passion with people open to adventure. Hope to meet you soon!

Q.Can we camp off grid or use this RV for dispersed camping?
A.
At the moment, we will NOT rent this RV out for dispersed camping or off grid camping.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We will deliver the RV to your campsite as well as pick it up when the rental is through. Most campgrounds begin check in between 12-2pm and check outs are typically by 10-11am. We will make every effort possible to work with you on both. The sooner we know your plans the better for us as we both do work full time and may need to make changes to our work schedules as well.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
As with every RV, there are basics you will want to know. Note, we intend that our renters stay at campgrounds only and for all amenities and features to work to the fullest extent we suggest 30amp electric and "full hook ups". We can also offer both a PDF written "how to" of each component of the RV and/or a video link where you can watach the "how to" of each component. Lastly, we will happily show you through the RV and review all of the features with you before leaving you for your stay.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
We intend our renters to stay at a "Full Hook Up" campsite for use of all the amenities this RV offers. We will set up the water, sewer, and the 30 amp electric for you. From there, you have a few things we will show you before leaving you, but it wont be anything difficult. Note: if you wish to camp with limited or no hookups, please reach out to us in advance so we can review what you should expect for amenities. We will certainly allow this but we want you to know what to expect.
