Camping with our Scotia Rover makes everything better: You will sleep better, eat better, your camping setup will obviously look way better and the food will literally taste better. We love our Scotia Rover and we think that you will too... But don’t take our word for it, check out through Outdoorsy reviews, Instagram (Scotia_Rover), Facebook (Scotia Rover) or see this inTech YouTube video featuring our trailer model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vyOrfQ6xHA.If this is your first Outdoorzy experience, use this code when signing up for your profile to get $50 off of your first rental: https://ca.outdoorsy.com/invite/ghvsbm/renter?cam=1%26subcam=refer-a-friend.Fantastic meals are the norm with the Scotia Rover with its modern styled kitchenette, cooler, stainless steel sink and dual-burner stove.
Vinyl interior walls, carpeted accents, tinted side windows with screens and a quiet fan make boondocking ultra comfortable. The 4 interior and exterior speakers can be used in unison or independently which helps make the most of the AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth/DVD stereo. The 32-in LED TV and 8,000-BTU air conditioner take things to another level of glamping (but both do require a connection to power and cannot rely on solar). Our trailer comes with the off-road package that delivers higher clearance for better off-road use, off-road tires and an adjustable roof rack which makes rambling down dirt roads a lot easier.
What's includedThe trailer comes with a propane tank with a gauge that tells you how full it is. A full-tank can be requested through the Add-On section. As a courtesy, every rental will begin with at least 1/2 a tank. We are happy for folks to bring their own linens etc. but we have everything that you might need reasonably priced in the Add-Ons section. We highly recommend the solar panel if you are boondocking without shore-power.RecommendationsWe have taken our Luna Rover all over Nova Scotia. Keji and Highland's National Parks are our favourite NS destinations and we absolutely loved Gros Morne in NFLD. It's also great for surfing trips to Lawrencetown or parking next to that fancy AirBnB when you need an extra room. Other things to noteWe both work Monday to Friday, but David does have some ability to accommodate pickups or dropoffs during the work week. Otherwise, during the week early mornings or early evenings can work and same on weekends. Pickups and dropoffs are fare more cumbersome with a trailer than an AirBnB. Give yourself an hour at least and be mindful of our reluctance to schedule pickup/dropoffs in the middle of the day on weekends or public holidays. We ask that people don't smoke inside. We also ask that people keep the kitchen as dry as possible. The trailer is super light and can be towed by most large cars, mini-vans and SUVs. Our jeep is only rated for 2000lb towing and handles the trailer very easy. The trailer has electric breaks which requires a 7-way trailer plug. We do have a 4-way flat converter that can be used but by doing so you lose the benefit of the electric brakes in the trailer. uHaul does rent trucks with trailer hitches but be warned that their km charges quickly add up.

In this Pandemic world, Gros Morne might as well be Fiji and our Kejimkujik Lake the exotic Lake Como. Take your camping adventures to the next level with comfortable sleeping quarters and an equipped kitchen to fuel those long hikes. My partner David and I are busy professionals so we encourage longer rentals as much as we can. To do so, we reward longer stays with cheaper rates.

This was our first ever outdoorsy experience and it couldn’t have been better. Paula and David were gems to deal with. They gave us wonderful detailed information on set up and what to expect and do. We took the Rover to Fundy for 3 nights and was perfect. Would 100% do this again:)

The experience dealing with Paula and Dave was phenomenal. They were extremely warm and friendly and had no problems answering our questions, providing required information, and making our first rental a seamless and downright enjoyable process. The pride of ownership was evident and the camper was perfect with regard to size and features required to meet our needs. We highly recommend Dave and Paula as future hosts for anyone looking to rent and we looking forward to doing so again next year.

I cannot say enough good things about this experience. The RV was well-maintained and very comfortable, especially during the heavy rainstorm we encountered! The kitchenette in the back elevated the outdoor cooking experience and it was lovely to wake up and look out the front tinted window each morning. Paula and Dave are terrific and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend the Luna Rover to any couple looking to upgrade from a tenting experience!

We rented this camper as a bed-on-wheels to park next to a lake at our daughter's 1 bedroom cottage. It was perfect! Camper in perfect condition. Dave and Paula exceptional hosts. Comfortable and handy. So easy to set up and take down. The add-ins (large tent for storage of gear and extra-long extension cord and coffee maker) made the little camper even more functional

It was the perfect “extra bed” for our family outdoor gathering! Easy to pull and simple to set up, the mattress was comfortable and so clean. Our experience with the owners was great - friendly, caring and helpful. Nothing but positive.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
If you are setting up for a few days, think about bringing your own large tent, or borrow ours, and use it as a waterproof storage area and changing room. Stringing up a tarp using nearby trees provides protection from the rain for your clothes, car or picnic table. Before you know it, you'll have your very own fun-loving-camping-compound. Our Scotia Rover will help you make this pandemic summer unforgettable with the perfect spot to unwind after day’s adventures.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We both work so flexibility inside normal business hours cannot be assured. We are willing to be more flexible with longer rentals and if the flexibility is being requested outside of regular business hours, early morning on a Saturday and late evening on a Sunday.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
We suggest choosing a site with power to ensure the lights turn on and your beer stays cold. Also, the fridge, TV and AC only work when connected to power. We do have a solar panel that you can rent as an add-on but sunshine isn't always abundant and is far from guaranteed at our often heavily treed provincial campsites. The solar panel works great for boondocking but it takes discipline not to run the battery dry, especially if you want to use the fridge evens little bit.
