VAN is Completed Conversion was March 2020!We offer private campgrounds for our renters. The campground is right next to the beach in North Shore Oahu and absolutely beautiful. There is also a running shower at the campground and a firepit. This way you can stay here in a gorgeous property or travel the island. Campground amenities include: Shower, Campsite, Fire pit, BBQ grill, Picnic table, and covered lanai. No one else in all of the islands offers this. See pics for the map of our campground location. The beach is gorgeous!Our new "Mahalo" 2018 Dodge Pro-Master high roof camper van! High Roof Means - You can stand in it (76" aka 6'4") WOW!Fully custom build, for an adventure van beach camper . Complete solar power setup that runs all of the interior lighting, fridge, speakers, iPhone / computer chargers, fan, etc. Both on-grid and off-grid capability. Includes integrated back-up camera.The van features custom handmade cabinets and shelfs, along with a fixed queen bed. Decor is the modern farmhouse look, complimented with LED lights through out. Powered by a 2 panel 200w Solar System back by 100hr Lithium battery bank.Front passenger chair fully turns around on a custom swivel!Custom Queen Bed - With 4 pillows, linens, and 6 USB charger ports.Kitchen features 2- burner propane cook top with 20lb tank. 50 gallon water tanks for fresh water and gray water. Fridge, Microwave, Sink. Van itself doesn’t have a shower but the campground does and so does most beach parks.This van is fairly new and runs amazing!With warm Aloha from North Shore Oahu

The van was not as described or pictured in the listing. There was a lot of damage throughout the van when we picked it up. The sliding door and back door were impossible to open.
The ceiling fan did not work, window screens were missing or broken so we couldn’t get air flow unless we got bitten up by mosquitoes. The handheld usb fans did not work, vans check engine and tire pressure lights were on the whole time. when it rained the van ceiling and doors leaked getting many of our belongings and electronics wet. The van had no gas in it when we picked it up. The pickup process entails taking a taxi/rideshare 45 mins. In the listing it offered pickup and drop off from airport for a fee but that was not true. The owner did not respond for days and then finally messaged saying I was not messaging the actually host and then gave me an outside number. We tried to contact the owner but no response so returned the van early and rented an air bnb. Do not recommend.

Overall it was a great stay! We really enjoyed getting out of Honolulu and driving up and down the north side of the island. The freedom to stop wherever we wanted and make our own lunch/change/ rest was an awesome experience. On our first day we filled the propane tank ($30 US) b/c it was empty in Laie called Ace Hardware which is a 15 minute drive from the lot where you pick up the van(FYI) and got groceries (about $150 US for 4 days) at the foodland in same area. We went to the Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden on our second day when it rained and it was so cool driving through. We parked in one of the parking spots half way through and cooked our lunch. We wished we booked a camping site there in advance. Jurassic park is also 10 minutes east of the camp site, great experience and not hard to get too. Make sure to drive out to the beaches all around the area, especially Three Tables North Shore, when you think it’s raining it was sunny there all afternoon.
For people looking to rent a campervan this one was good. Overall the bed is super comfy, lots of storage and places to store groceries. The mini fridge is in great shape, kept all of our food/drinks nice and cold. A few things I will say is the lot is on the main road so it can be noisy at night with cars driving by but as long as you have the fan on it is still a good sleep. Also the door locks can be a bit finicky locking but once we read the manual we figured out how to lock all doors at once with the key fob. For girls looking for showers I will say the shower is outdoors with no walls, but I wore my bikini and since it was set back far enough on the lot I felt comfortable. The water pressure is great but isn’t hot, more room temperature but after being in the sun all day it was super refreshing. There is also a porta-potty on site for a bathroom. Make sure to bring your own sanitation wipes to wipe everything down in it and the van as well.
We are so happy we decided to do this experience for the first 4 days of our trip. We ended our trip back in Honolulu but wish we stayed in the van and saw more sites/hikes a little longer. The people around us were so kind and made it feel like a home. Also the beach just outside the lot is stunning!! Great for morning coffee before hitting the road. Such a wonderful trip! Will certainly be back because it wasn’t even close to long enough. Plenty of room and storage, easy to use appliances, everything you need. Kahea was always very quick to respond and incredibly helpful. Very thankful to have used their camper van during this trip- it certainly made it that much more incredible exploring the island!

The van was great and worked out perfectly for the kind of trip we wanted to have. The amenities at the lot were sparse, just a porta-potty and a fairly primitive shower head attached to a hose without walls. You can make it work, especially if you're used to living nomadically, but just know what you're getting up front.
