Imagine driving around Oahu in your hotel room on wheels, being able to park in any open parking spot, (No Parking Garages) and taking a warm shower after an amazing day hiking, snorkeling, beach play or any other activity Oahu offers. This Luxe camper has a fully stocked bathroom with towels and shampoo/conditioner and fully stocked kitchen with pans/pots/coffee maker, microwave, gas cooktop, refrigerator, freezer, dishes, DVD player/TV, and a very quiet A/C unit. Lithium batteries automatically recharge through a self start program. A queen sized memory foam pad is provided, along with sheets and bedding/pillows. Also included are beach chairs and umbrella for your beach adventures. Boogie boards and snorkeling gear can be supplied on request at no charge. This is not your regular Sprinter van — it is a Roadtrek SS Agile Motorhome. You can sleep, eat, shower in this and don’t need a hotel room. It has upgraded suspension and brakes, upsized wheels and tires (rear ones are new), and recently installed ceramic filmed windscreen to reflect heat. Also, the noisy, smelly generator has been removed to provide room for more lithium battery capacity. If this is not the nicest camper van on Oahu, I would be surprised. These cost upwards of $200K new, with the options and upgrades this one has. It’s like a rolling studio apartment and sleep 2 comfortable and 3 as long as the renters are not plus sized :-)

What's included

towels, linens, bathroom toiletries, pots and pans, plates, bowls cups, coffee maker, silverware, beach chairs, beach umbrella, TV, DVD player, roof-mounted AC, vent fans, 600 Amp Hours of lithium batteries, auto-start system to charge the batteries, 35 gallon fresh water tank, 10 gallon black water tank, 20 gallon gray water tank, inside flushing toilet, inside and outside showers with hot running water.

Recommendations

The north shore and Mokuleia are great places to park right at or near the beach. Also -- Bellows on the weekends. And don't miss the Lanikai Pillbox hike for a spectacular sunrise.

Other things to note

This is not like other campers. It's a true motor home. You can stand up inside unless you're well over 6 feet tall. We spent several months in this touring the mainland in 2019.

Amazing experience. Colin’s van is 5 star and equipped for anything you can imagine. He is also a wonderful host and available for you at any times. Super easy to park and enjoy days secluded and private locations. A definite must for all. Thank you Colin.

Collin was flexible and accommodating. I can't thank him enough for loaning us a mobile hotel room with which to drive around the island.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.Can I rent surfboards or boogie boards from you?
A.
We have surfboards and boogie boards that can be included for no extra charge. However, please be aware that especially surf boards take up lots of interior space in the van. There is no exterior board rack.

Q.Where can we park or camp on Oahu?
A.
We have printed parking recommendations that we include in the van for guidance. In general, be cognizant of no parking areas/signs and restricted times. Also, because the van is 10 feet 6 inches tall, do not drive into parking garages and watch for low hanging branches on trees, even on streets.

Q.Can you drop the van off at our hotel?
A.
No, but I might come pick you up for a fee. Note that there is little to no parking for the van at hotels unless they have a surface lot (no garages allowed). In addition, the parking charges are usually quite expensive. Last, at the beginning of your rental, you need to be instructed on how to operate numerous items in the van. That orientation takes about an hour usually.

Q.What upgrades are on the van?
A.
We have spent at least $30,000 in upgrades on the van, including: new suspension, upgraded brakes, lithium battery and charging system, wheels and tires.
