Meet your host, Richard J Somerville

My wife, 2 sons and family dog have enjoyed RV camping for the past 7 years. Started out in Southern California on the beaches and in the mountains where we previously lived and now enjoying Midwest camping. Have a couple of regular WI spots where we meet up with old friends; Lake Arbutus and River's Edge Campground. Our hands down favorite spot was a campground near Estes Park in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Richard takes very good care of his family RV. It is in excellent shape. He was extremely professional and thorough. I truly enjoyed working with him and look forward to future rentals. Thank you for the great weekend!

We had a great experience with this rental. The trailer was exactly as described and meet all of our needs. Rik was very responsive to our numerous questions and was on time for both our drop off and pick up. We would recommend this rental to others.

Richard was great to work with. He's a prompt, clear communicator and clearly cares for his renters, as well as for his family's camper. He made our first Outdoorsy rental experience seamless and efficient. We will likely rent again. I noted five stars for everything except 4/5 Mechanical because the awning was off-limits, and we would have liked to have used it.

The trip was a simple 2 night stay. Trailer was clean and worked well for the 4 of us but I wouldn’t pack any more adults into it. I was disappointed and frustrated, that after seeing the add with the awning highlighted as an amenity, that on arrival I was told that I could not use the awning. I had to sign a part of the contract where I agreed to not use it. This should of been announced ahead of time as I would not of rented this camper for that reason. But I couldn’t back out when I was there to pick it up. Maybe that was the plan.?? The camping area we were in did not have any trees next to the camp sites. So we baked in the sun. The other thing was he forgot to clean the grill. We didn’t need it but if I was planning on taking this camper on a longer trip then 2 nights I would of been upset. This was my first time renting a camper from an owner and I think I will pay the extra from the dealer to avoid these issues. Outdoorsy inundated my email with advertising. Didn’t care for that. But they got my security deposit back the next day but it took the owner 7 days to release the deposit after he got the camper back. Renting a home from an owner was a lot less complicated and I might be sticking with that from now on.

I would highly recommend renting this camper, we had a great experience using it! The owners were very thorough in going through everything with us and showing us how everything worked. The camper itself is very well kept up and taken care of! An added bonus for us was that the items (sheets, silverware, some games, chairs), were available for us to use in the camper. We were really able to enjoy the vacation because of how smoothly everything went!

Richard went above and beyond to make our trip awesome. The communication with Richard, cleanliness of the camper and unit's amenities are A1+! I definitely recommend!!
