Hello! We are a family with a small regenerative agriculture farmstead that loves to travel for life learning and experience new places together. We have been tent/car campers previously. This past year we wanted to take a trip South and could not find a rental that fit our needs well enough. Through Outdoorsy we did find that the perfect for us RV exists, but it was too far away! We delayed our trip, bought our Winnebago Solis to take us adventuring, and have joined the world of folks offering our RV for your travel as well! The farm life we have created includes milking our family cows, this allows just a couple times/year in which we can take a big trip. We are excited to be able to offer you an incredible travel experience all the rest of the year! We have an adored multi-gen Bernedoodle, Eleanor, who travels with us. We are happy to offer travel of your hypoallergenic canine family member in our Solis. When not on those big trips we can be found on our farm doing all things that revolve around our Homelife.

Class BRental #209304

Our Solis is a brand new 2021 Class B Motorhome. We think this is the perfect adventure vehicle for an individual, couple, and for a family of up to 4! It offers all the essential amenities in a well thought out comfortable space saving design on a great easy to drive Promaster chassis. Many areas in the vehicle for storage of necessities, plenty of ports for electronics to charge with a backup camera and good gas mileage. One of the things we really love about this Motorhome and the reason we bought it is; for the forward facing automotive coach seats that we feel comfortable traveling with our children in. The pop up roof bed with lots of ventilation and look out space is icing on the cake for the children and adults alike! Roof top solar panels make off grid camping with power a possibility. The wet bathroom features a cassette toilet and shower. Outdoor showers are also available in two places on the vehicle. Please reach out to us with any questions we look forward to meeting & being your adventure hosts if our Solis fits your needs!

Tyrah and David couldn't have been more helpful and kind. We were first-time campers with this kind of RV and they helped so much with the learning curve. They were always responsive and covered everything we needed to know. Pickup and dropoff were easy.

David & Tyrah’s answer

Tyrah and David are amazing and so is their Solis!! From the very first time I sent them a message they were so quick to get back to me. Traveling in their van is like traveling in a luxury hotel room on wheels. The soaps, toothpaste, napkins, hand towels and towels are all so luxurious that I want to get them all for our home! Luxurious and quick-drying, perfect for van life:) They have thought of everything you can possible need--reading lights, flashlights, magnetic hooks exactly where you need them. This van has everything you need and a perfect spot for all of it. Tyrah and David are also very flexible and generous with pick up and drop off times which takes the stress out of the travel days and we really appreciate that. Tyrah is also incredibly generous with the bounty from their beautiful homestead--she sent us on the road with farm fresh eggs and greens from her garden and when we dropped the Solis back off at the end of our trip she gave us a loaf of homemade sourdough bread for the road. (Confession: after leaving, we pulled over on the side of the road about a minute away from their house and tore into it--it was so delicious!) Thank you Tyrah and David for making our first experience with Outdoorsy so special--we will definitely be renting from you again!!

Picking up the RV: Just 10-15 min from the main highway, very easy to find their location. The Dellers were very friendly and highly informative. They took the time to explain all the major functions and let us take a short drive to get comfortable with the RV before leaving them. The RV was very clean and really well outfitted. They even gave us some great extras including coffee beans to go with the grinder and French press. Very cool!
Driving the RV: At first, a bit apprehensive about the size and maneuverability of this big delivery van-ish RV but it was easy to drive even in the wind. It was able to maintain posted highway speeds even on hills without hunting for passing gear. Fuel economy would probably have been a bit better had we dropped our speed a bit. Brakes were effective and easy to modulate. However, using the cruise control took some time and was easy to confuse with the turn signals.
Parking the RV: The mirrors were very effective providing adequate side visibility and the back up camera was very useful for positioning in our snug campsite.
Living in the RV: Being on a level surface is critical to a good nights sleep (we found). We reserved the site without actually seeing first but we were able to dig into the soft soil and reposition the Solis to our satisfaction. A small level might be helpful. We weren't far from the restrooms, but having the bathroom in the RV was still a huge plus for us. There is a lot of storage space in the Solis. Take advantage of it if you have time to set it up. We had suitcases which took up critical space for moving around. It is a little tight and not a lot of lounge space. The lower bed is pretty comfortable and the Dellers provided nice soft bedding. The upper bed is a really great space but the mattress seems a little firmer (fine for kids though). Overall pretty well insulated for noise (it rained hard a few times) but not loud (unlike our friends' tent trailer). Getting power and water to work takes a bit of knob twisting but not terribly difficult. If confusing, there are videos on line to clarify. One of the coolest features was the magnetic screen door. Rather than fiddling with zippers which always seem to jam, the Solis has a full length magnet which separates easily and seals very well. Great idea!
Returning the RV: We were up and ready to go in maybe 10-15 minutes compared to over an hour for our friends with the camper. To be fair they did have more stuff. We emptied and swept it out which was pretty easy with the collapsible broom.
Overall: We had a great experience and would easily recommend this vehicle and these wonderful hosts to provide a fun alternative to hoteling or tent camping.
