Sangchris Lake Campground

When you're starting to search for an RV in Sangamon County, Illinois, consider camping at Sangchris Lake Campground, for starters, and you can also enjoy the state park with the same name. Sangchris Lake State Park is ideal for getting some quality time with Mother Nature while wandering around the forests of maple, oak, butternut, and persimmon. There’s also both fishing and boating, meaning that you can float around in peace and quiet for hours if you want to. There’s also archery, metal detection, and even dog training in this beautiful park.

What about the RV park itself, though? Well, it welcomes both you, your friends and family, and also your pets if you’d like to bring them. RV camping at Sangchris Lake Campground is the perfect opportunity to leave the outside world behind for a bit while you reconnect with nature. Some time away from all the stress that comes with day-to-day life would be great, wouldn’t it? Well, you know where to go: this great RV campground near Rochester. The park also has electrical hookups, so no need to worry about that.

If you want to mix up your nature experience with some villages and cities, then Rochester, the nearby town, is a great place to start. You can also visit Edinburg - and not the capital of Scotland, but the little village in Illinois. There’s also Pawnee, of course, yet another town with great personality and charm, and for something busier, you can always drive your RV rental to Chatham and Springfield. Almost everywhere you go, the background will consist of cornfields as far as you can see, and there are many historical sites and recreation opportunities around, such as golf.
