Hey! We are Chris and Ken. We have owned some sort of a camper for most of our marriage. We have five grown children who are all "outdoorsy" types! We have travelled all throughout the Midwest, West and Southwest. We love to visit national parks and unusual roadside attractions. We love to go hiking and exploring when we camp and especially enjoy meeting all the awesome like-minded outdoorsy people along the way! If you have any questions about our RV, please don't hesitate to ask!

April 20215

We had an absolutely fabulous two week trip. The RV was great. It is a 2014 model so it doesn’t have the bells and whistles of a newer one but it had everything we needed. The engine is powerful enough to get us on the highway and drive safely, and and the gas mileage is what one would expect with the vehicle such as this. The amenities all worked fine but next time I will probably bring a mattress topper for a little more softness. I had never driven an RV so this was something new for me. Ken took plenty of time explaining the operations and rv driving to me and that helped me feel comfortable, of one can ever be comfortable emptying tanks full of dirty water and bodily waste. It is fully equipped with everything necessary for a trip, including cookware and silverware. Ken was great with questions and I texted him several times during the trip and he responded promptly. I would gladly rent this RV for another trip in the future and would especially rent from Ken.

Ken and Chris’s answer

Hi all- The "review" below is automatically generated by Outdoorsy when an owner cancels. I spoke with the renter and we both agreed that we should cancel the reservation due to the same mechanical issue as the other cancellation. The mechanical issue wasn't a safety issue, but both the renter and us felt better to just get the RV into the shop and get it repaired. The reason we, as the owners, cancelled is so that the renter would not incur any cancellation fees. The renter was agreeable to the cancellation and appreciated our honesty and forthrightness. We will not send out an RV on a rental if we aren't completely comfortable with the RV's condition.

Ken and Chris’s answer

Hi Renters- Please note- This review was posted automatically by Outdoorsy. The actual renter was agreeable to the cancellation. The reason we cancelled this reservation is that the RV returned from a trip with a mechanical issue. We couldn't get it seen in a Ford shop until right before this scheduled departure. Before sending it back out on the road on this rental, I spoke with the renter and together we agreed that for the safety of the trip, we should cancel so that the mechanical issue could be properly addressed. We feel that we have done right by the renter for their safety. We gave as much notice as possible for them to book another RV. The renter was appreciative of this.

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.Can I leave my vehicle at your home while we have your RV?
A.
Absolutely! We live on the corner of a cul-de-sac, so we have lots of room for your car. The neighborhood is VERY safe. The only caveat is that you are leaving your car at your own risk and we cannot be held liable for it while it is parked.

Q.I've never used an RV before? Will you train me?
A.
No. Just kidding! Do you really think we would let you use our beautiful RV and not show you the ropes? We typically spend between 1-2 hours walking renters through the systems of the RV, set-up and even take you for a drive to give you a few "driving an RV" pointers! How ever long you need to feel comfortable is how long we will spend with you.

Q.Is this RV challenging to drive?
A.
Nope! In fact, if you've ever driven one of the medium sized U-Haul moving trucks, this is similar but with a smoother ride! We will go for a short drive before you take off on your own and give you lots of pointers for a safe and enjoyable trip.

Q.Can I bring your RV to festivals and other tailgating events?
A.
Refer back to the part in the description where we said that we want you to enjoy this RV, but to treat it as if YOU owned it. Yes, take the RV to your favorite festival or tailgating event, just treat it respectfully and return it CLEAN and undamaged.
