No better way to camp in Maui then with the Green Machine. I would suggest against taking her on the road to Hana as the roads are tight and windy, we rented a car instead. The green machine was very comfortable on our return from day trips and swimming at the beach.

We had a great time in the van! :) The pick up at the airport was easy and very convenient. Everything essential (pot, pan, cutlery etc.) was already provided. We just got food at walmart and hit the road. Amanda was also very helpful with finding camping spots.

The van worked just fine for my big family needing lots of bedspace. only reason for lower rating was there was no a/c in the van the outside door handle was broke and a few other things that weren't communicated prior to already renting it.

Amanda was trying to be helpful and always responded quickly to our questions. The van was fully loaded with camping gears which was good for our trip! She also loaded two more body boards for us for free. Cons: We were told the GMC broke down two days before the trip started and switched to a Dodge RAM. The Dodge camper-van had no top tent that we booked for. So my family of 5 have to squeeze inside the van which was told to have a Queen size and a full size beds. However, the full size bed is actually shorter by 1-2 feet. My two grown up kids couldn’t stretch their legs for 3 nights. The Dodge van itself is very very old, making noises along the way while driving. The AC is very weak, almost couldn’t feel cold wind in the back. It should be ok for winter, but it was super hot inside when outside temperature gets to above 80 degrees in May. My kids had bad feelings about Maui because of the heat.

Wow! I'll give Amanda a 5 star review as a Maui tour guide just as much as I give the Green Machine 5 stars. From the first moment I booked Amanda would respond to my questions within minutes it seemed. What beach should we visit, where should we camp, what's the best route to Hana, what all is included in the van? Amanda was so great all before we got into the van. We took our 3 kids (10, 8, 6) with us for 4 nights and the van did amazing. Road to Hana and camped at Caroline's & Tony's for 2 nights (ask Amanda for referal). The van navigated the roads amazing to hana and climbed the summit at Haleakala with ease. Car was clean inside with everything shown in pictures.

Lots of space for a family of 4. It came with everything you need. Made it around the road to Hana and up Haleakala. As long as you don’t mind the quirks of an older vehicle and the breeze being your air conditioning. Fantastic kitchen design out back with a great dining area with a view. Amanda was super helpful!

We had an exceptional experience with Amanda and the Green Machine. From the very beginning the communication was top notch and very fast considering the time difference between Hawaii and home. All of our questions were answered honestly and we felt very comfortable making the booking. We were even able to pick up the van earlier than scheduled and this provided us additional time for all the sites. The Green Machine is older (only warning: no A/C, which wasn't really needed) but very well designed and easy to drive and set up. We handled all that the Road to Hana offered up all the way to Haleakala National Park. The five of us slept comfortably and set up was quite easy, excepting the first attempt in the dark... Overall we would highly recommend Amanda and the Green Machine for a fun and unique way to see Maui and would not hesitate to rent from them again if ever I'm Maui again. One last plug: Amanda recommended staying at Tony and Caroline's place south of Hana and she was spot on. It was idyllic and a perfect location from which to check out the best parts of SE Maui. Highly recommended as well. Thanks Amanda for starting off our vacation on such a high note. Mahalo!

Best decision ever! Our family had the best time with the Green Machine. We are a family of 7 and this one unit gave us everything we needed and more. I met the owners they are a lovely family they gave me a run down of all the cool thing the Green Machine had. My children exact words were "Awesome".

Renting this campervan was by far the best thing we did on Maui! We loved cruising around in this cute, comfy van. We even had people ask us about where we rented it from and commented to us how cool it was. Amanda was super responsive throughout our entire trip. Anytime I had a question or needed something she responded immediately and was very helpful. The van was equipped with everything we could possibly need and was extremely comfortable. From the tongue and grooved ceiling to the stained glass window accents and twinkle lights, this van gave off such a chill boho vibe. The beds and bedding were comfy. There were two little fans you could plug in and use at night that wouldn’t drain the battery that we appreciated so much (both for the noise because we’re fan sleepers and to help with airflow to make the temp comfortable). I HIGHLY recommend this campervan to anyone looking to adventure around Maui! We even took it on the road to Hana and had no issues. Mahalo for everything Amanda!!

We had a great experience and vacay with The Green Machine. Amanda and her partner were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and had a good trip. The van has a great sleeping and cooking setup! Very clean. Worked well. People thought we were locals because the setup is so pro. Thanks!

The Green Machine made our trip to Maui great. I loved being able to see every part of the island. Amanda and Carlos were always so quick to respond to any message we sent and answered every question I had. I would for sure use them again!

Great experience even though I felt like the vehicle starts to be a bit old. Amanda and Carlos are amazing though. We drove the green machine through Maui without any issue, the tent on the roof is great ! Our 3 kids loved it!

Amanda was a great communicater, answered quickly always , is kind, and resourceful. Amanda gave good disclosure of all deficiencies as the van is an older model but it is was also large, clean, well stocked. Good tires, handled the road to Hana safely, good brakes. In the future plse fix the window latches - We are very thankful to Amanda and Carlos making our Maui camping trip best family VACA ever!

We had so much fun in the Green Machine for our Maui trip. Yes, be prepared for a large gal but she will have everything you need and more. She was perfect to hang out in the beach in. We slept very comfortably inside and the kitchen had the basic necessities to make our trip easier. We drove her to Hana successfully (even though we were a little stressed during the drive). Overall she is the perfect ride for a low key wonderful time. She does have some bumps, bruises, and no AC but that didn’t stop us from having a great time!

When 2020 postpones your twin daughters dirty 30, you rebook a 31 in the sun 2021. However post covid room and car shortages tried to play havoc on our plans.... until we met the Green Machine! She was a dream come true!

Absolutely amazing. Really the only way to explore the island. From check in to return - it was a breeze communicating with Amanda. Very comfy, roomy, and had everything we needed for camping.

We had such an amazing experience renting this van while in Maui! It was so incredibly fun to explore the island in the van and to sleep in it overnight! Amanda and her family all went absolutely above and beyond to make sure our trip worked out well and we cannot thank them enough for that! They really made the whole experience even better... cannot recommend renting this van more, you are in for the trip of a lifetime and a great experience overall! Thank you Amanda!

We had a great time -- this van epitomizes the "Aloha" spirit and made us feel it too. We took it out to Hana and it performed like a champ, quite spacious and well equipped. Owners were very nice and flexible. Would definitely recommend.

This van was absolutely everything we dreamed for our trip. It has plenty of space to all your luggages and even in a group of 4 we could sleep comfortably. It comes furnished with everything you need (towel, kitchen utensils, bedding, blankets, pillows...) and the drive is actually pretty smooth.
As a plus, Amanda and her husband are very sweet and kind and provide us great tips of the island, where to visit, sleep and find restrooms.
We felt very welcomed from her and from the amazing green machine and this is an experience that I TOTALLY recommend!

Wouldn't have explored the raw beauty of Maui any other way! The Green machine is great to drive, spacious, and has everything you could possibly need. Add ons you would usually pay extra for were available to us at no extra cost, including binoculars for whale watching! Amanda was attentive and flexible, she gave us some great recommendations which really helped us plan our trip. It was comfortable to hang out inside on days the weather wasn't on our side. Great fold out kitchen in the back, we recieved many compliments along our way. Mahalo!
