Highly recommend!!!!! This was by far the best way to see Maui and not only that but the BEST person to rent from. Tony takes the time to be sure you are fully equipped to get the most out of your time- between the vehicle itself and the recommendations he provided it really made our first time here special. Mahalo to our friend for life Tony, can’t wait to rent again!!

Wonderful, affordable rental vehicle. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable, dependable way to get around! My family enjoyed being able to explore the island without breaking the bank.

We rented a Nissan Pathfinder with roof popup for 9 days. It was an amazing experience in Hawaii, camping on the beach and upcountry gave us a connection to true Hawaii we could not have had any other way. We brought all of our gear but CampCar actually provides chairs, coolers, bedding, towels, the works! We highly recommend you try a CampCar experience on Maui, your family will say it was the best vacation EVER!

I ENJOYED MY TRIP i NEEDED A BETTER STOVE. AND THE WATER SOLAR SHOEWR ? CONTAINER HAD A RIP ON THE TOP. tHOSES ITEMD SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHECKED BEFORE HAND. i THINK WE SHOULD HAVE PRACTICED OPENING/ CLOSING THE TENT MORE THAN ONCE.. aND I WOULD HAVE LOVED some info on WHERE i COULD sleep. All we discussed wa sOlawaly and that was booked for 4 days. !!!!! I just pulled over whre i saw other cars, So i wish you had some type of listings/ map of where the beaches that we were ALLOWED to stay on. We just kept goinb back to the same one. Maybe we were in another section of Maui but we always had to drive BACK to mile 14 area. I would have loved more info from you so I could plan better.... You had told me on the phone that there were public pools that we could use to shower..... I NEVER found these..... I didn't shower on Maui!!!!!! I got to waikikkeee and jumped in the hotel shower. !!!! I enjoyed our trip BUT it could have been soooooooo much easier and thus even better would be more fun thanks margie

We are really happy that we found Car Camper on Outdoorsy! It was such a fun way to see so much of Maui. The car itself was clean and comfortable, and all the gear included and packages purchased were great. Communication with both Carl and Tony was really prompt and helpful. As Tony knows, we did struggle a bit with the tent, specifically getting it down, due to new hydraulics; hopefully that is made easier with some time. The only suggestion we have is to have all the gear and items organized and ready to go prior to picking us up at the airport. We spent a bit of time waiting on that when we first arrived and were eager to start our trip, especially since our time was limited. I know the vehicle had just been returned "well-loved," so perhaps it was just a one-time time crunch getting it back in shape. Anyway, we will be recommending Car Camper to all our friends and it was a really awesome experience we hope to do again. Thanks guys!

Tony, Carl and Chris were easy to communicate with. We opted for pick up of the pathfinder at Tony's home which worked out well because of a few items we realized we needed that he would not have had with him had we met him at the airport as originally planned. His instructions were clear and easy to follow with set up of the over the car tent. If you camp at Haleakala, you will need extra blankets because it was cold up there at night! The car ran well the entire time! I would highly recommend them!
