Cornelius VANderbilt has high ceilings making it easy to walk around inside. Two can sleep on the full-size futon. Cornelius has one adjustable seat bench that can be let down for an extra passenger or folded up to create more space for relaxing. Cornelius has an outward opening door with steps up for passenger entry into the van. He also has a wide side door that swings open 180 degrees so guests can park at the beach and enjoy the view. Charge your cell phone or laptop and cook on the griddle using Cornelius' power inverter. Cornelius also has a smart remote key that arms his alarm system and can be used to start the van remotely.We recommend reserving your camping permits online in advance from Hawaii County. Sometimes no one asks to see your permit; however, sometimes security, law enforcement or park rangers may come, often early in the morning or before gate closing at dusk, to check. This strong and large skoolie van follows with its interior design direction the owner’s jiu Jitsu academy: it consists of a large empty space with a comfortable mattress. There are no knick knacks, no frills. There is a stool with cutlery and plates, but no stove. Japanese minimalism. We liked it.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful! Cornelius is a real beast of a van! Highly recommended, with powerful AC, huge doors, a great battery, and sooooo much room. A place to feel like home on the road :)

It was an amazing trip !!! And having Cornelius was awesome! Moku and Kaela where very helpful and very sweet ! Gave us good recommendations to some food spots and good hikes . Definitely looking forward to our next trip.

We had an amazing adventure with Cornelius exploring the beautiful Big Island! Thoughtful, knowledgeable, local hosts and a comfortable spacious ride. Tall ceilings, great sound system, back up camera, fun bench seats and bus driver door. Looking forward to visiting again!
