The Lebowski was perfect for our weekend on Oahu! Large enough to feel roomie and comfortable but not so large that it was difficult to maneuver or park. We had all the amenities we needed including linens, kitchen supplies and even snorkel gear and camping chairs. The host, Patrick, was very communicative, pickup and drop off of the van was a smooth process and he remained easy to reach when we had any questions. It was a great little trip, thank you Patrick!

We were really excited about this van at first but there were a handful of issues. First off, the host asked us to change our reservation and shorten it by two days because they had double booked. Luckily, we did. The inverter goes off every night, in the middle of the night. Even when the only thing running was the fridge. Catching a good nights sleep is only possible if you shut it off completely. The shower hose is pinched and there is no easy way to hang it up to allow water to freely flow. The side door is hard to open from the outside and impossible to open from the inside. Many of the power outlets don’t work, and the switches that control lights also don’t work. The only lights that work are the LEDs which are nice but not bright enough. The roof leaks onto the bed on the drivers side rear as well as near the sliding door. This van needs a lot of little fixes for it to be worth the money, and time spending trying to figure out all the quirks. The host was also not communicative prior to our visit.

Patrick thought of everything you’ll need when using this van. It’s incredibly accessible for me and my wife who had never done van camping before. We loved the freedom it gave us to travel and sleep where we wanted. The van provides good privacy and sound insulation. The fans helped cool us while we were sleeping, and we didn’t even have to use the shower because Hawaii has so many outdoor showers.

Absolutely amazing!!!! Had such a great time exploring the island in this unique way! Patrick was an excellent host! Would highly recommend exploring Oahu with Lebowski!

The Labowski was a great van to camp in, but if it is your first time camping in a van be aware it's a little small for two people with backpacks and a suitcase. There are only a couple places it's legal to sleep in a vehicle on Oahu, something we didn't know until we booked the van. Patrick was very responsive to our messages and even came to meet us as one of our day trip locations to look at a leak we had above the sink. Overall a good experience.

My husband and I loved this van! We had a great time just camping out, surfing and generally having a great time. Everything is easy to use, well designed. Bed is super cozy. The fans are 👌 and all the equipment was really great to have - we used the camp chairs, towels, and pop up shade the most!

Buyer beware with this guy. Rented his van, maybe in error on our end maybe not searching for one on Maui (his is not but appeared in search), contacted him politely for a refund well ahead of time for him to re-rent it and got the following treatment and responses from him (see below in quotes)....

We had an excellent time in the van and it was super easy to get around and park in places. We had great communication from the owners and no mechanical problems. Bed is super comfy and lots of head room I'm 5'6 my husband was 5'9 and he had head room too. Definately reccomended!

Renting from Denver was a good experience. He communicated well leading up to and during our trip, and the van came as advertised. My only minor criticism was the fridge/cooler units didn’t work all the time, as Denver told us the vehicle needed to be parked on a dead-flat surface for these to work - although even when we thought we were parked flat, they still sometimes didn’t work, even overnight. This wasn’t a massive issue as we only kept vegetables and drinks in there, but it might have been worse if we were trying to keep meat from spoiling. I raised this issue with Denver upon drop-off, and he said he’d address it.

Awesome van, all the amenities you could need & more. The owners were super informative about everything and communication was really easy. Pick up & drop off was a breeze. We rented this van for a week and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The Lebowski is clean, in good condition, and Denver is just pleasant to deal with. The backup fridge in the back was useful and the warm shower was the only one at the campsite so we were thankful it worked well. We stayed at Malaekahana Campground for 6 nights, which is the only campsite where they accept that you sleep in your camper vanon Oahu. No issues there either. Would recommend this can, especially if you're 5,8" and under, so you don't have to bend over to cook/clean.

Renting "The Lebowski" was the best decision we ever could have made for our trip! What an amazing, unique way to explore the beautiful island of Oahu. Patrick and Denver went above and beyond to welcome us in true Aloha style, making our travels truly magical. The van is as described, and a lot of thought obviously went into ensuring it was well equipped. In our opinion, you can't say you've been to Hawaii unless you've travelled camper van style. Highly, highly recommend holoholocampervans for all your Oahu travel needs!
