Meet your host, Christina

Member since 2021

I'm your host Christina and my husband Brian. We recently bought this trailer because I'm not much of a camper, but still want to enjoy the outdoors in style. Basically I like having a comfy bed to sleep in and enjoy the beach. We thought it would be a great renting it out on Outdoorsy because we work full time, but we enjoy it when we can!

I'm your host Christina and my husband Brian. The ALL NEW 2022 Grand Design is the perfect fit for enjoying the great outdoors with your family and friends. We want to share the experience of camping life and how important it is getting away from home every now and then. The trailer has a solar panel on the roof so if you want to dry camp that's possible providing independent power source when off the grid or as needed or take it to an RV site with all the hook-ups.

Paid additional money for delivery , when we arrived the RV water was hooked up incorrectly and spilled out of toilet all over the floor. Stated the RV slept 4, there was only the queen bed and the table turned into a twin bed (so it in fact only sleeps 3.) Bed was very uncomfortable, we wished we would have brought foam for it. It was our first time paying extra money for the RV to be delivered but it was not a smooth renting experience at all. Clearer instructions and communication would be very helpful!

Christina’s answer

Yes I did hook up the water hose to the wrong area, but it was an easy adjustment, there was very little water over flow and it was cleaned up immediately! When we contacted you everything was fine after fixing the problem. I'm sorry, it was my first time hooking everything up without my husband there. We drove an hour and a half to deliver our trailer to your destination and no renters to hand over the keys too. We hung out for an hour, setting up, killing time and still no renters. We left keys with family, also letting you know about this. We don't hear from renters at all after this happened so we think camping is going great! We get a message one day early from pick up, that you left the campsite with keys inside and trailer unlocked. We've spent a lot of money stocking our trailer, also it has a flat screen TV inside, things that can be taken. To me I look at it like, NOT YOURS so why would you care about other peoples property. I'm sorry for your terrible stay but that's not on us! You left early because of the rain, anyway that's what was in the messages. Leaving the awning out for days after raining, luckily no damages. We were able to drain the puddle from the center of the awning before retracting it up. This would be a expensive fix on your end if any damages found. Thank god we are honest people. Thanks for the bad review it doesn't look good on us!!!
But yes communication on your part would have been helpful!!
