We had so much fun renting from VanLifeKC! We took it for a 3-night run to southwest Kansas where we explored Lake Scott, Monument Rock, and Little Jerusalem State Park. Because it’s January & that area had a bit of snow on the ground, we were a bit concerned that we’d be cold at night , but the van was perfect! We had plenty of heat, with the van staying a cozy 65 degrees (our setting) all night long in spite of the freezing temps outside.

I found VanLife KC via a a simple Google search for an RV/van to take on a post-residency road trip this summer. Once I read more about the available vans, the experience they provided, and the company itself, I reached out to them via their website. Spencer gave me a call back within hours (on a Sunday) to talk more about the vans and what to expect as I was (am still am) a novice to van life. At no point did I feel like he was trying to pressure me into renting, nor did he ever seem like he was annoyed with all of my questions that came up regarding the vans and traveling in a converted van for a road trip. Being that my trip was a long one compared to other trips taken in the past with Vanadium (the van I decided to go with) he was able to facilitate my expectations for the trip and was flexible with the logistics of renting out the van for multiple weeks. Spencer was able to give me a very thorough walk through of the van prior to taking it on the trip, and again answered all of my questions to satisfaction and made it clear he would be available via text, call or email if I ever needed him on the trip. In addition to the information he gave me during the walk through, he provided a very detailed notebook about the ins and outs of the van that I could refer to throughout the trip, as the van does indeed have many bells and whistles that are helpful, but also come with inevitable questions during use. As mentioned, during the trip I contacted Spencer on multiple occasions for various reasons (one being an unfortunate flat tire) and he was able to help out in every single situation to help make my trip a success. I can't speak highly enough about his positive demeanor and ease of working with, it made the experience so much more enjoyable and I always felt supported if I had questions/concerns along the way.
In regards to the van and the equipment housed within the van itself, I rented out the camping kit that is optional with the van in addition to the portable refrigerator/cooler which were huge in being able to store my own food instead of getting food on the road every day. Additionally, the supplies provided in the kit met all of my needs and I never felt like I had to go pick up extra supplies or felt short on gear that I needed for the trip. It was pretty apparent that the folks at VanLife KC are experienced campers and they had all of the gear that was needed/anticipated for the trip. I'd highly recommend going this route (van life) to friends and family going on long or short road trips, and especially would recommend this company for their excellent customer service and high quality of goods and services provided. Van is very clean. Owner, Spencer that is, was available every time we have questions or concern. we rented the van for 3 nights. We knew we will be picking up the van when it's already dark and finding a campground late at night would be hard. Spencer was kind enough to recommend as a campsite to spend the first night which was just about 45 minutes from where we picked up the van. Even though the temperature were low during those 3 nights, the van's heater kept us comfortable. Yes I will recommend this van.

If you're looking for a clean, well appointed adventure van ran by someone who cares and communicates well - Spencer and Vanadium has you set up. We spent a week in the van (which drives like a car) traveling and camping in Colorado and it was one of the best trips we've ever been on, much thanks to the van. Highly recommended as an experience.

We loved travelling in the campervan. While it had more than enough room, it was comfortable to drive. It seems more stable than the older vans that I've driven. We used the refrigerator and were able to maintain social distance over an eleven day trip. Spencer was great to work with and painstakingly showed all the features of the van.

Great trip to Wilson Lake, Great Sand Dunes NP, Alvarado Campground and Buena Vista CO. Really appreciate all Spencer's help before in planning and questions as well as small inquiries we had throughout the trip. Definitely a great value and quality experience with VanDoIt all the way around!

Rented this van to do the four pass loop in Colorado. Spencer is a awesome! He took great care of use form day 1. We had 5 men. One 6’10” and the van worked great for us and all of our gear. This a great van for base camp!

We had a wonderful trip to visit family. The van drove well, we slept well every night in van parked in an RV Park. The mosquito netting over the side door and back doors along with the overhead fan, made the sleeping temperature very comfortable. When we texted with a question, Spencer was quick to answer. We will rent it again if we make another long trip.

Spencer clearly takes pride in his camper van and it shows. This was in excellent condition and very clean. The whole process went very well. The walk-through was informative and necessary to enjoy all the functions of the van. The cooking kit is a nice addition. I’m 6’5” and my wife and two kids (4 & 6) were able to sleep comfortably. We will definitely be renting again.

To be honest this is only my second camping trip ever ....Van Life KC has made it absolutely a success. My family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The van was super clean and the special touches provided by Spencer were awesome too. I was struck by how functional the van was for sleeping arrangements, traveling, and any issues we had on the trip. Spencer was terrific and his communication was clearly and always timely. If you are looking to get away and possibly live in a van down by the river ....look no further and book Vanadium.
