This camper comes fully loaded with everything you need for a luxurious glamping trip across the US! Haul bikes, golf clubs, camping and hiking equipment- you name it!

Past Renters’ Favorite Features:
32" smart TV, coffee maker, fridge, memory foam mattresses
(see the 'What's Included' section for a complete list)

Our favorite thing about this van is the space! The high roof has an interior clearance of 6'1" and the extra long model (22ft) provides plenty of space for 2-3 people, a full-size bed (with the option to add on a second bed), 3 Ford seats, and a kitchen pod & fridge!

Converted by VanDOit (DO Model)

Bed: Adjustable height platform with a Full-size memory foam mattress (73" x 52")
Add on a second bed (no charge): Twin XL memory foam tri-fold floor mattress (78" x 38")

Heating & Cooling:
Dometic rooftop AC*
MaxxAir Deluxe air vent (rooftop; all-weather, adds additional cooling and acts as a vent to avoid condensation in the van overnight)
Espar heater (pulls from van's gas tank, uses about 1 gal/night; we still recommend filling up the tank just in case)

*Appliances are powered by a lithium battery, charged by solar and by plugging it in (just like a house plug!). Boondocking or staying at a primitive/dispersed campsite without electric? The AC can run ~5hrs on full blast off a full lithium battery alone. You can also add on our gas-powered generator. Staying at campgrounds w/electric hookups? You'll have continuous power for heating/cooling/cooking. You won't need the generator. The van has a 15/20amp plug outside that charges the lithium battery. For campsites that only have 30amp or 50amp plugs- we provide an adaptor.

Recommendations

New to camping? Look at KOAs- they're reliably clean, in safe and convenient locations, and offer RV sites w/electric hook ups, as well as cabins. They typically have a large public bathhouse (we choose our campsite next to or close to the bathroom). Cost $40-$100/night. KOAs have 3 levels (Journey, Holiday, and Resort), with Resort having the best amenities but also being the most expensive. When you book, you'll select 'Van' 22ft and no slideouts. If van doesn't show results, try 'motorhome'- sometimes they're settings don't include vans. Pro tip: when selecting your site (for the best view and distance to the bathroom)- pull up the campsites map AND look at their campground on Google Earth. Some KOAs are in great locations for a view (like Devil's Tower KOA), but you'll really get to enjoy it if you pick your site wisely!

Want free places to stay? In addition to Walmart & Cracker Barrel parking lots, look at the website for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). They're off the beaten path, less crowded, and many allow free boondocking and dog-friendly places to explore. Take long hot showers for cheap at Pilot Flying J or Love's gas stations, or at national gyms like Planet Fitness or 24hour Fitness.

Looking for a more high-end experience? Google 'camping resort' for your destinations. 'Resorts' typically cost $70-$120/night but have resort-style amenities and much nicer (sometimes private!) restrooms.

For road trip itineraries, visit the Find Your Blue website. We have a growing list of dog-friendly guides with our favorite road trip stops through each state under 'Itineraries'. We use Roadtrippers, BringFido, and Tripadvisor to plan our trips. Additionally, we look at Hipcamp and Free Roam to help us find find great campsites, filtering campsite type, ratings, cell service, and price.

Other things to note

If you choose the pick up option, please bring a second person with you. We do not offer secured parking of your personal vehicle.

**WINDSHIELD COVERAGE**
WINDSHIELD DAMAGE IS THE MOST COMMON INSURANCE CLAIM ON OUR VAN and it is usually completely out of your control. Please note that Outdoorsy’s insurance only covers repairs. It will NOT pay for replacements. The replacement cost is $1000. Unfortunately, regardless of the cause, you are responsible for replacement if damage occurs during your rental. To help our renters, we have created a separate add-on (‘WINDSHIELD ASSURANCE’ for $199). If you prepay this add-on before your rental period, and the sole damage to the van is the windshield needing replaced OR repaired- you will not be charged a dime and no insurance claim will need to be filed through Outdoorsy. We will handle getting it fixed or replaced when you return the vehicle at no additional cost to you, and without you needing to lift a finger. For all other vehicle damage, existing policies & insurance deductibles through Outdoorsy’s insurance will apply.

Van is just as advertised and then some! So many extras and thoughtful touches included with the rental that many others forget or charge extra for. Would definitely rent this van for another trip!

Incredible experience ! Tina and Josh were patient and helpful upon the delivery of the van.
They were awesome partners in our adventure. And it was the dogs first adventure!

The owners were amazingly generous, flexible, and accommodating. They were kind and supportive from the earliest communications to the final drop off and post trip wrap up. Their vehicle is amazing, in perfect shape, and they have gone above and beyond to provide an impeccable level of detail during the orientation as well as providing a detailed binder to refer to along the way. They made themselves available for communication while we were on our trip and never made us feel like we were bothering them in any way. We were especially grateful that we could bring our dogs so thank you for that and the nice pooch package that came with it. We really can’t say enough good things about them and highly recommend them to all!

We loved every minute of our trip in this van! It held up wonderfully during our cross-country trek and had everything we needed to stay cozy and warm. The van was spacious for two adults and all of our camping/hiking gear. Our favorite features were the solar powered electrical and a/c systems, and gas powered heating system, which were useful at campsites without electrical hookups. We're already planning our next adventure in this van!
