The Great Outdoors

Perry Lake is perfect for watersports, including boating and fishing. Anglers will have a great time here, and catches include white bass, white crappie, and blue catfish. If you love nature, birdwatching is also a popular pastime, with over 100 different species of birds inhabiting the park. The lake is surrounded by lush forests which are perfect for hiking, and there are roughly 40 miles of trails that lead by the lake and through nearby woodlands.While exploring Topeka, you may want to escape to the country for some much-needed respite from the crowds of people. Kaw River State Park is situated along the Kansas River within Topeka city limits and covers over 70 acres of dense forest and rolling hills. This area is perfect for hikers, with gravel trails that lead up hillsides to give visitors panoramic views of the surrounding area. While hiking, you may want to keep an eye out for some of the local wildlife, with eagles, deer, and various waterfowl spotted in the park. The Kansas River is also a popular spot for boating. Clinton Lake is another example of an excellent nearby lake, and Clinton State Park is a must-visit for motorhome campers in the region. Clinton State Park is ideal for swimming and boating, thanks to its sandy beaches and private marina. Fishing is also popular here due to the lake's deep, clear water, and catches include crappie, catfish, and walleye. There are also over 25 miles of hiking trails which lead by the lake and through nearby prairies and woodlands. If you're visiting during the winter, bring along your skis as these trails are ideal for cross-country skiing.

The museum features work from the likes of Winslow Homer, Claude Monet, and Vincent Van Gogh. The building itself is also an architectural marvel; the neoclassical design won the building the reputation of one of the best-designed museums in the country.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms.
