Recommendations
Camping is just one possibility for this camper. Do you need extra space for a Graduation or Wedding? We can bring our Home Away From Home to your home to house your extra guests.
Campground Requirements: For the best possible experience with this camper, we suggest campsites with full hookups that include electricity, city water, and sewage. However, at a minimum, we do require a campsite with electric hookups. If there is a situation where electricity is not available, you must have prior approval and we will lay out detailed usage limitations for the camper.
Travel Restrictions: No off-road travel is allowed on any non-paved roadways like logging roads, forest service roads, beaches, etc.
Other things to note
Training: When you pick up the RV, we will complete the pre-rental orientation of the camper that will take about 30-90 minutes, depending on any prior experience you have with towing an RV and camping. It takes time to do a thorough and complete walk-through, and we want you to feel comfortable with all the systems. We will also provide you with a Renter’s Manual with detailed checklists to help you remember the steps covered in the orientation.
Delivery: No truck? No problem! We do offer delivery. This service includes drop-off, leveling, and connection of all hookups including electric, water, and sewer. At pickup, we will also handle breaking everything down and the emptying of the waste tanks. However, if your campsite does not have sewage hookups or a dump station on-site, then a $75 dump fee will be charged as an Add On fee. The Delivery Package is $175 and $2.50/mile after 60 miles from the Kaufman, Texas Court House.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited. If the camper was smoked in, professional deep cleaning will be required, a fee of $500, or the cost of the cleaning will be assessed, whichever is greater.
Pet Policy: While we love and travel with our pets, your pets are only allowed in the camper with prior approval from us and a nominal pet fee. Even with approval, pets are not allowed to be left alone in the camper unattended and must be crated if this is necessary. Even the best-behaved pets can act differently in a new environment.
Cleaning: We do NOT charge an up-front cleaning fee but do have a mandatory charge for Sanitizing and Make Ready. We provide cleaning supplies and expect that you reasonably clean up after yourself and return the camper in “broom clean” condition. Broom clean means that the camper is cleared of all personal items, floors swept, surfaces wiped down, used dishes/utensils, etc. washed with the provided soap and sponge, dried, and put away. Linens do NOT need to be washed. Linens can be left on the beds and any used towels placed on the shower floor.
Only if the camper is returned dirty will a $100 cleaning service fee will be withheld from the deposit. If it requires extensive amounts of cleaning or reconditioning, a $200 deep cleaning fee will be assessed.
Awnings: We allow the usage of the exterior awnings, but advise using extreme caution! This is for your own protection as well ours because they are NOT COVERED by Outdoorsy insurance, they are very expensive to repair or replace if damaged. Damage to awnings, including damage while driving, any acts of nature, or negligence are 100% your responsibility and will exceed your security/damage deposit amount. Never leave awnings out in windy conditions.
Waste Holding Tanks: There should be nothing, including, but not limited to, feminine pads or tampons, diapers, tissues, napkins, etc. put into the black water waste (toilet) holding tank as this will cause it to become clogged and require an exceptional amount of repair. You will be provided with RV-safe toilet paper and we ask that this is the ONLY thing put into the waste holding tank. There is to be nothing other than sink or shower water put into the gray water holding tank. Any type of food particles put into the gray tank may cause a clog that will require extensive repair. Thoroughly wipe any dishes, pans, utensils before washing to avoid food waste ending up in the gray tank. You as the renter will be responsible for any costs related to a clog from your rental.
