Meet your host, Josh

Member since 2020

Josh and Shawna met in NYC as theatre artists--Josh a Director, Shawna an actor. Eventually Josh made his way into Learning & Development for tech companies, and Shawna made her way to working in the Beer industry, including her own venture, Seattle Beer School (her job is way cooler). We have one toddler and two senior cats. For about 6 months in 2020 we full-timed in our Class C, Ol' Bess, though now we full-time in our home in Burien, WA.

Josh made our first ever RV trip a breeze. Ol' Bess was very well equipped, which made for a comfortable stay. Josh's orientation was thorough, and I appreciated that he made himself available to answer questions before and during our trip.

Josh’s answer

Thanks for the review, Cameron! We’re so glad your first trip in an RV was a good one, and we hope to see your family back out on the road again!

Josh’s communication and making sure we had everything we needed was stellar!! We appreciated being able to ask questions (we are RV newbies)… and his attention to details amazed us (all the small touches in the RV…GREAT!!)

Josh’s answer

Janice, thanks for being so communicative throughout the rental and for taking such care of Ol Bess. We’re so happy you enjoyed the little extras that—for us—make Ol Bess the best. We can’t wait to host you again!

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We'll try our best to align schedules with you. For pick-up, we prefer to be there so we can walk you through the rig. We're happy to do this at the storage site or at a local campground (if you're new to RVing, we highly recommend this!).

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
If you can use a garden hose and plug in your phone, you can hook up the RV! We have extra long sewage and water hoses so you'll be able to hook up even if the campground has a funky layout. The RV works off 30AMP power, but we have adapters so you can plug into a 50AMP plug as well ( it splits into a 15AMP and 30AMP), or even plug into 15/20AMP (standard plug).

Q.Could I join video calls and literally work from Ol' Bess's Internet Connection?
A.
Yes. I did it for 6 months. That being said, you are limited to the speeds and coverage that the major wireless carriers provide. I have antenna extenders and coverage from all the networks, so until Starlink goes live (and yes, I'm on the waiting list--if you have connections let me know) I think this is probably the most redundant network any mobile vehicle could provide. But yes, very possible. And VERY fun.

Q.Craft Beer Package you say...?
A.
Yes! We partner with Seattle Beer School to stock your fridge with about a dozen craft beers selected to your tastes. If you book this, we will connect you with Seattle Beer School for some customization and any additional options you'd like to explore. If you've never had an Advanced Cicerone (e.g. Beer Sommolier) walk you through a beer tasting, get ready for some fun. And their local connections don't hurt either.
