Just north of the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, in Hamilton County, is the beautiful Winton Lake, and located in the heart of the greenbelt surrounding the lake, is the Winton Woods Campground. Set in a pine grove on the shores of the lake, and within easy walking distance of Winton Woods Harbor, the campground is a well laid out park with paved roads, and creates a camping haven for visitors to Hamilton, Ohio. Since the campground also caters for tented camping, not all the sites are pull throughs, and not all are equipped with service hookups, but those that do also have a fire ring and picnic table, are paved, and are suited for big rig access. The campground also has free wifi, plumbed restrooms with hot showers, a playground area, as well as walking trails, and access to the lake via a boat ramp. Set as it is in a metropolitan area, the long, winding lake is really beautiful, and is fantastic for kayaking and fishing.
