2. If you do not fill up the gas to full, no problem! You will be charged the amount of gas difference which will come out of your deposit.Important to know-
We do have bugs here in Kauai like cockroaches and pinchworms. Though it is not ideal, it's part of Kauai and they are not harmful at all. Sometimes they do get in the van so we ask guests to please seal up food and containers. We provide you you a sealed container for all your dried food goods and a high performance cooler to keep all your cold goods. If you do see a bug in the van, it harmless and feel free to shoo it out. We do our best to keep all bugs out, but thank you for your understanding if there are any. We'll continue to work on getting them out for good and we appreciate your help!Also Great to know-

What an incredible van and way to explore Kauai! Jay and Marly were fantastic hosts—quick to respond to questions, set up the van to accommodate two car seats, etc. From the outdoor shower, to stove, to comfy bed, to comfy floor pads for sleeping, to great decor, we couldn’t have asked for a better first vanlife experience. Highly recommend!

Amazing!!! Loved our van life adventure. Everything we needed to explore the island. Marly & J we’re the perfect hosts- great communication, helpful in planning, and made sure we were comfortable with all operations. The bed was super comfortable, lots of room for our luggage and groceries, and the wall to wall windows meant we didn’t miss out on any spectacular views the island has to offer. Would highly recommend!

Marly and J are excellent hosts! Marly always responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to my needs and questions. J was super detailed and helpful with the van instructions. The van was clean and comfortable and well stocked with snacks and coffee. Overall a wonderful van. This is my first time staying in a van and I love the experience! Thank you so much Marly and J!!

Q.Is camping in a van allowed in Kauai?

It says online that there is no car camping, but it absolutely not enforced. Everyone camps in their cars, vans, buses, including us. We use it for our family for fun when it's not being rented out and have never had one issue. We have talked to and are friends with county park workers and officials and there is absolutely no problem. There are also private beach front campgrounds that openly allow car camping. We would be glad to send you information on those. Please just send us a message!

The following are the places to camp on Kauai. On the north shore, there is Anini, Kumu Campground, Anahola Beach Campground, and the YMCA in Haena. On the east shore, there is Lydgate Park.
