Great truck! Camping on Kauai is a bit tricky — you need to book well in advance and there are only a few public campgrounds to choose from. We stayed at Kumu Camp and it was nice. Good amenities and right on the beach. The rooftop camper setup is easy. Its really wet on Kauai so it did get a bit damp in there. The mattress in the camper isn’t super supportive so I’d recommend bringing camping mats to put underneath or on top of the built in mattress. All in all we loved the truck and had a ton of fun on the island in it, and the gear included was really nice.

Eventhough the "owner" Justin provided us with a great guide on the island and great restaurants the vehicle itself did not live up to any promises and expectations.It started with a check-in with no intro to the car, but a clear message to inspect the car in detail and to take pictures. Doing this the car had a huge dent, the toolboxes (as shown on pictures and videos) were both broke and not to be closed or locked anymore, the table that came with the car was rusty and broke (see pictures) and there were some really unpleasent old & dirty belongings from previous renters still in the car. Furthermore, the tent is not the one shown on the pictures and "intro video" on setting it up.

Overall super good! Check in was quick and easy. One thing to note was in our email it said we need to check in with his assistant, that is actually not the case and check in was just showing up at 3pm and heading out! Justin sent awesome campground guides and references prior that made it easy for us to get them booked in advance. The truck was great to get around the island and we slept super comfortably!! We would recommend koke’e state park campgrounds and camp numu for those wanting to rent.Things to note:
-Pop up table was too rusted out to use, but luckily most campground sites had a picnic table.
- storage boxes on the sides of the truck were not able to entirely use. One side didn’t open, the other side didn’t close all the way.
- cooler worked great, but one of the securing handles is on its last leg.
- other than that everything worked wonderfully and we had every item of camping gear needed supplied by Justin and his tacoma!

Some parts were missing to fully set up the rooftop tent. But the ground tent worked just fine on windy nights. cooler, gas stove, and kitchen utensils were all clean and in good working condition. Justin was very responsive and flexible with accomodations.

Amazing host. Host was very pleasant, understanding with communication being inconsistent d/t us being out of service, great setup, the car has everything for overlanding. We will definitely rent again when we come back to Kauai.

Everything was well organized and in good condition. It was easy to use and drive. Communication was a challenge in the few weeks leading up to the rental (trying to confirm) but fine once we got a hold of them. I’d recommend renting with Justin.
