If you're looking for a extremely gracious, honest, and quick responder to your requests and/or questions, then no need to look further. Marco made our first experience with the campervan rental so nice and fun! We had a really great time campervanning up the central coast in this cute little van. My two little ones enjoyed the trip more because of this van. Every essential feature of the van worked fine. However, I would suggest bringing a cooler as a backup to help keep your food and beverages cool. Regardless, we will definitely make more road-tripping memories because of the great experience we had with Marco and Outdoorsy.

Marco was a great host/owner who patiently explained all we needed to know about Walter. We drove to los padres park and had a fantastic weekend with other vanagon friends. Walter is 2003 and easy to drive, automatic and has cold AC (good in Los Angeles at the moment). We were 3 people and tried both beds and they were both super comfortable. The fridge unfortunately didn't work but we had a cooler and the popup tent screens were a bit torn so had to keep the tent windows half closed but that was fine for our needs. All communication with Marco was easy and fast. We highly recommend Walter!

Renting from Marco was great! The campervan is older, but it ran very nicely. We only had one hiccup at the beginning of the trip, but driving was pretty effortless after that. We maneuvered up mountains with no problems and through the city traffic easily. One thing I would note is some of the wear and tear on the screens for the pop top. As someone who did not want little buggies coming in while we were getting ready for the night, knowing that everything was sealed would have been more of a relief for me. We tried buying some patch kits and these only half-worked. I would suggest that the screens be replaced, but Marco's solution of not fully opening them worked alright, just not the best when it's hot out (the more breeze, the better). We bought some little battery-operated fans to keep circulation flowing.
Overall, it was a great trip and the campervan was very reliable.

We had a great experience--Walter runs VERY well (reflecting Marco's devotion to vehicle maintenance), and Marco is beyond helpful. He provided clear instructions on how to operate Walter, good last-minute suggestions for where to camp when a heat wave hit the area we had planned to visit, and on our return generous and cheerful assistance when we had a problem (our fault). For people who had never driven an RV before and were slightly nervous about it (we have small cars), it was fun, comfortable, and memorable for us and our nine-year-old son. Thank you! A WONDERFUL experience!

The vehicle itself is in excellent mechanical condition and drives wonderfully. It is very easy to use and everything works. It has been well maintained by its owner and really fun to go camping in. Beyond all that though, Marco is a wonderful host who is considerate, and so easy to work with. He really went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience. Makes me want to go camping a whole lot more!

We had the best time with Walter. He was surprisingly easy to drive, well maintained, and got a lot of attention from people. Marco was amazing. He was responsive and thoughtful— he even recommended some sites to visit on our trip up the coast. We will be renting from him again.

We loved Walter the Campervan!! Had a fabulous road trip with the kids to Big Sur. Walter was true and steady. Loved being higher up with the expansive window views. Owner Marco was terrific. I was a rookie and he explained everything in a clear and easy way. The van is well stocked and Marco has thought out all you need from beach chairs to blankets. There are a few little quirks which give Walter extra soul. With the easy instructions the pop top was a synch to open and close up. Like a little house on wheels. Highly recommend adventuring in Walter.

My wife and I loved Walter the van. We miss it already. Marco was extremely helpful about explaining everything and very responsive. You can tell he takes great care of this van. Drove this guy all over Northern California, saw the Redwoods, Lassen National Park, Lakes Basin, slept in it every night. Very comfortable and convenient, and crucially, it's not so big that it's hard or stressful to drive. The van is also really cool. We got compliments everywhere we went. Perfect rental for an escape or a longer trip.

This was our first experience with Outdoorsy (and renting RVs/vans in the US in general) and it was f*****g awesome! We were actively looking to rent a van from a private person not a company and I think we hit the jackpot with Marco. He was very responsive, friendly, knew everything and more about his van (not always the case, mind you!), and this combo just made our inaugural trip through California unforgettable. It definitely won't be our last one!

Everything about Marco and his van Walter are 5+ stars! Van was clean, comfortable, and drove great! We used Walter for our Thankgiving trip up to Big Sur. It kept us warm in 30 degree weather and I cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner in it! Look forward to renting Walter again !

Hello, as a novice camper, this camper van was perfect for me and my family! My young son LOVED tent bed. Marco was very thorough in his instructions, he answered questions that I didn't even know I should ask...and was always very responsive via text during the whole trip. The vehicle itself was very easy to handle in regards to driving and had all the amenities as per the description. Would do it again!

We loved the van. Everyone had a blast on the trip Walter (the van) made our 3 nights of camping extremely comfortable. Marco was had the van prepared and did thorough explanation of how to operate the features. We hope to rent Walter again.

Renting "Walter" with Marco was a dream. It was our first time renting through Outdoorsy and was super smooth. Walter had everything we needed and then some. Perfect for our small family of four. I wanted to rent a Westfalia to go camping for my husband’s 30th birthday and Marco was incredibly accommodating! Walter was the perfect “gift,” and we had a blast camping with our 6-month-old baby girl. The pack and play fit perfectly on the floor with the bed pulled out. Marco was so quick to respond and so generous! Totally recommend! :)

My husband and I rented Walter for a trip from Orange County, CA to Sequoia National Park. The van ran great and we had no trouble with the steep, winding mountains. Some of the roads we traveled to get to our campground, although paved, did not allow RV’s due to the narrow width. Walter was the perfect choice for us as we had the room we needed and the van was not too big. Marco was very kind and accomodating and his commutation was excellent. He stayed in touch with us every step of the way and was quick to respond to any questions we had. He keeps Walter in pristine condition and adds many extras to make the trip comfortable. We would absolutely recommend renting this vehicle and are certain that working with Marco will be a great experience.

Awesome campervan, everything was great and Marco was amazing! Extremely quick communication and great van! The van ran amazingly well, mechanically perfect. Drives like a car and sleeps like a camper. Awning and pop top provided so much extra room. Hope to rent again. Thank you so much!!

Working with Marco to rent "Walter" the Eurovan was such a great experience. My son loves these type of vintage vans and we rented Walter to drive up to Monterrey and Yosemite and absolutely loved it. We camped one night near El Capitan State Park at Ocean Mesa and had a fantastic evening grilling up some steaks and enjoying the evening. Next morning we cooked some eggs on the stove inside and then hit the road to Monterrey. Marco was always available if we had any questions and will definitely want to rent Walter again next time I go to CA.

This was my first experience renting a vehicle on Outdoorsy and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Marco was amazing. Absolute pleasure to work with. Extremely helpful, supportive, and responsive. He let me come down and check out the van before renting and answered all my questions. The Van was reliable, in great shape, and clean. My family of 4 had an unforgettable 2600-mile camping adventure up to Oregon and back. More than enough space for all our gear and driving it was a pleasure. I look forward to renting it again!
