Loved our week and a half journey with “Mochachino” as we dubbed her. Everything about the RV was perfect— all appliances functioned properly, the bed was comfy, the drive was excellent, and communication with Alan was clear and patient with us newbies. Appreciated everything it was stocked with—outdoor chairs and table, all cookware, linens, everything we needed so all we had to buy was groceries. This is a perfect rig to rent for your first time or for your 100th time. 100% would rent again.

This was our first time with an RV and this was a great RV for us and Alan was great to rent from. He answered all our questions, made himself available before and during our trip which gave us confidence in what we were doing. The RV is is really good condition, looks just like the pictures, drives really good and was easy for a first-timer to operate. It was the perfect size for what we wanted to do: it was just small enough for us to park in spots larger RV's couldn't and it was just big enough to give our family of 4 the space we needed. It had all the accessories that we needed and all we needed to supply was food and toiletries. During our trip we had multiple people come up to us and tell us how nice our RV was.

Absolutely awful from pick up to drop off. We excitedly arrived to pick up RV, but owner forgot we were coming and opened the door half dressed, agitated and RV no where close to being ready. We left hours late without knowing later down the road the water pump was clogged and inoperable, ran out of Diesel exhaust fluid, no windshield wiper fluid, no propane grill as advertised, malfunctioning audio system. He was appalled that we did not go to Wal Mart to purchase fluid or that we did not want to be mechanics during our vacation and crawl under the rig and fix the water pump. He became very agitated that a few items (pans/bug spray) were not put back in the “right” spot and demanded we drop off the accidentally taken foil and dish towel. Almost a week later accused us of damage. Strongly suggest if decide to rent this vehicle to take many pics, test out all systems, check all fluids as it is obvious this unit is not properly serviced between rentals.

Alan’s answer

Wendy asked for an earlier pickup and the information did not get forwarded to my phone from the Outdoorsy page, this I did not discovery until they showed up the day prior to rental date, They did not speaking to Outdoorsy to add the day or insurance. I needed a little time to get it ready and I also took the time to make sure Outdoorsy made the insurance update. I apologized several times for missing the request and did not charge them for the day. The water pump was working when they left and I told them to call me if they needed anything! They ran out of DEF just like everyone else does after driving to mid Colorado and back and of course the didn't add any, risking mechanical issues even after I asked nicely to not leave Payson without adding at least a gallon! The washer fluid is always full and propane was full as well. Never heard from them about the water pump until after they were returning, they said they contacted their nephew instead because he knows a lot about these things, and he couldn't help. If they would have contacted me it is a five minute fix no "crawling under the RV" and I would have had a mechanic meet them if necessary, this is what I do. When I sent a text to see how it was going, George said they were having a fantastic time. Wendy moved everything around the RV and took some of my things and she did not move things back where she found them. I found my lantern ON and in a cabinet above the dinette, for example. There were bits of food everywhere, the front carpet that was new was disgusting, it was awfully dirty considering they only slept in it once they said. The damage to the roof was found on Tuesday morning, their return date was the previous Saturday. It was discovered by the guys that wash it, it's hard to see from below what's damage or bugs and dirt until it's cleaned. The washers knew it wasn't there last wash, there was fresh pine smashed into the filler between the shell joints. The renter took pictures prior to departure and did not challenge my report of the damage only went silent, it would have been visible in the photos. They clearly hit a large branch. To top it off George was not authorized to drive it and he returned it and I can tell was driving it the whole time. Don't trust these people, I do everything I can to satisfy my customers and I guess you're just going to get this on occasion, unfortunately. It was a very bad experience and but I learned a lot and will not be as trusting going forward. Sincerely!
