We love this van. Perfect in almost every way but the new tires make for a little louder road noise. It's the second time we've rented it and it couldn't have been easier or more well thought out as far as accessories. Was even able to forage for a couple of really nice Chicken of the Woods mushrooms.

My wife and I loved the sumpvee. We took it to the smokies for our honeymoon. Neither of us had ever camped in an RV, but Robert made everything super easy for us. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, and would absolutely rent again!

We took the van out west for a socially-distanced trip to national parks. We are hooked! With a kitchen, bed, toilet, and shower in the van we were able to boondock away from the crowds and still enjoy our long-planned vacation. Robert clearly knows what he's doing when it comes to building out and maintaining this thing. Great experience!!

This was our first time renting a Campervan and we had a lot of questions both before the rental and at picking it up. Robert was a pleasure to work with. He answered our questions both patiently and clearly. When we went to pick up the Campervan we found that Robert is meticulous in preparing the camper and explaining the functions of each feature. Everything in the Campervan worked great and, as a result, we had an excellent week of camping. We would definitely rent from Robert again.

Robert is a delight to work with and very helpful. He had already sent me some instructional videos just a couple of hours after booking, so communication was excellent. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the camper van because our campground reservation for Memorial Day weekend got cancelled and we couldn't get another. I can't wait to rent from Robert in the future.

Fantastic!! At 75 years old, our first experience in a camper and was terrific! No checking in at hotel, no loading baggage in, just park, build fire, relax and bed down!! Best sleeping we have had in long time! We will definitely do it again!

1) Robert is awesome! Knowledgeable, helpful, and full of tips.
2) The van is perfect for a novice (or it has been 20+ years) camping. Or, if you are just done sleeping on the ground.

Love the SUMP VEE we rented. Fantastic build. Very comfortable with excellent power amenities for solar charging phones and ipads and running a fan while camping in hot conditions. Awning was a helpful bonus. Robert was super prompt with communication and made pickup and return easy.

Great experience. I would highly recommend 828 Camper Van Rental to anyone considering a van rental. I will not hesitate to use them again in the future and cannot say enough about the quality of the van, the orientation on its use and the ease and pleasure in driving and using the vehicle. It exceeded all of our expectations and I cannot say enough about Robert who assisted us through the whole experience. He is an easy going super responsive individual.

I can't recommend this van enough. Robert is a thoughtful, communicative host and I had a great time taking his ride to Cherokee. I'm considering creating my own adventure van and if/when I do, I'll be incorporating many of the design ideas he implemented here. The Webasto heater, the awning, the bike racks, the solar assisted electric system, portable toilet, butane stove all made for a well outfitted and comfortable trip. Vanlife is the life for me =D

Thanks so much to 828 campervan rentals. Robert set my family up with everything for a week on the road, even adding a bike rack. The kids had as much fun playing and sleeping in the van as they did doing anything else the whole week. The van is setup with everything you need, from tie downs, toiletries, tools, and kitchen stuff. Little things like the fridge made life with kids easy. It was so great to not worry about a cooler and ice. We saved a bunch of money just making meals in the van. Robert has worked real hard making sure this van has it all.

Professional and thorough, start to finish. He took 2 hours to go over everything prior to departure. I had to take notes! He built his so he knows it and loves just like my wife who was new to camping did. We took it for a month and didn't want to give it back.
