The 370 Lakeside Park RV Campground is located on the shores of a human-made lake near Dardenne Creek, just outside of St. Peters and St. Charles. The cities are suburbs of St. Louis, one of the largest cities in the Midwest. Although this RV campground is in the middle of the beautiful Midwestern countryside, it's an accessible vacation destination for those who want to stay close to a big city. The campground is a short drive from the Mississippi River and the Illinois border, as well.Campsites at 370 Lakeside Park RV Campground are full service with 20/30/50 amp electric connections. Most sites are gravel, with pull-through and back-in options, but there are a few paved sites, some of which are ADA compliant. The campground has WiFi to help you stay connected, and there is also a full comfort station with clean restrooms, showers, and a laundry room. They have a large archery range with both 3D targets and elevated platforms for a more immersive experience. You can also use the platforms for stargazing at night. There is a dog park on-site as well, with sections for both small and large dogs. If you enjoy hiking or biking, there is a pleasant trail that runs around the length of the lake.For a more intense boating or kayaking experience, you can head north to the Mississippi River. There are several marinas and boating outfitters on the Missouri side of the river, particularly near Dardenne Island. It's a popular place for local yacht owners from nearby St. Louis. Dardenne Island itself is a conservation area full of diverse wildlife. Waterfowl hunting is permitted here, provided you follow Missouri's state hunting regulations. Trapping is also allowed with a special permit.

Exploring The Area

There are so many fun things to do just a short drive away from the campground. You also won't be missing any of the conveniences of home - there are several gas stations within a ten-minute drive, and there are a grocery store and mall down the road. Near the mall, you'll also find plenty of restaurants if you find yourself getting hungry.There are several parks and hiking trails throughout St. Peters, so if you are looking for a change of scenery, you'll find other opportunities to explore the outdoors. One of the more unique activities in the area is the Nuclear Waste Adventure Trail, which is run by the federal government and takes you to the top of a huge pile of nuclear waste. This attraction was created as part of a massive nuclear waste cleanup program, and there is an excellent view from the top of this seven-story monument.When you camp in an RV at 370 Lakeside Park RV Campground, you should make sure to take the short drive into St. Louis and explore the city. The biggest attraction in the area is the Gateway Arch and the surrounding park.
