The Great Outdoors

Visit the Huckleberry Ridge Conservation Area when you camp in an RV near Noel to see some of the best of what this region has to offer. This area covers over 2,000 acres and is almost entirely forested with oak, hickory, and native shortleaf pine. Ozark chinkapin, which is only native to five Missouri counties, is also found here. There are 4.5 miles of multi-use trails, including the Ozark Chinquapin Trail that loops through the Elk River Breaks Natural Area. Recreational opportunities include hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and nature photography.The Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area is Arkansas’ largest state park and a great way to explore the great outdoors while you are River Ranch Resort and Campground camping near here. This park features a diverse 36-mile multi-use trail system, a public outdoor shooting range, and a large visitor center with exhibits, interpretive programming, and a picnic area. The Historic Van Winkle Trail has interpretive panels that chronicle an early industrial center. Recreational activities here include hiking, biking, horseback riding, and hunting. You can take your rental motorhome at the River Ranch Resort Campground to the Pea Ridge National Military Park to experience a piece of America’s history. This was the site of the most significant Civil War battle west of the Mississippi River. It is also one of the most intact Civil War battlefields in the country. Guided tours are available. There is also a museum and visitor center with an orientation film, exhibits, restrooms, and a bookstore with local history materials, park merchandise, educational toys, and gifts and souvenirs. The park also offers nature trails and wildlife observation.If you’re looking for some big-city attractions and amenities while you are enjoying the campsites at the River Ranch Resort and Campground, you can head over to Fayetteville, which is known as the entertainment capital of Northwest Arkansas.
