Conditions are ideal for water skiing and windsurfing here as well, and you can go swimming when the weather is warm. The area is known for its excellent walleye fishing, and you'll also find pike, bass, and trout. Ice fishing is allowed in the winter when the water freezes over, and you can even go ice skating. When camping in an RV at Hell Creek Campground, you'll also find excellent hunting nearby. Venturing outside of the state park, you can go hunting for elk, white-tailed deer, antelope, and more. Be sure to check Montana's licensing and hunting regulations before you go, as they can change over time. There are several hunting outfitters in the area if you need guidance or equipment before heading out. If you would prefer to watch wildlife instead of hunting, there are two beautiful wildlife refuges in the area to check out - the Charles M. Russell Wildlife Refuge and the UL Bend National Wildlife Refuge. In these wildlife refuges, there are hundreds of bird species, as well as other fascinating species like mountain lions, bats, lizards, and more.To see some more of Montana's unique terrain, consider packing up the motorhome rental for a multi-day trip to the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument near Lewistown. The rolling terrain in this area makes it an excellent place for hiking, and there are several trails in the area to choose from. The scenery in the area is stunning, so you'll want to make sure you bring your camera. The Missouri River also runs through this national monument, and one of the best ways to enjoy the scenery is by boating through the area. There are many local outfitters where you can rent boats while motorhome camping here.

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
