Most people visit North Las Vegas for the amazing hotels and casinos, but the natural beauty of southern Nevada and its convergence with Arizona, California, and Utah is full of wonder. North Las Vegas has a few parks itself; there are also several golf courses and a sports complex in town.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is right outside of town, attracting over two million people each year. Hiking and mountain biking are enormously popular activities among the towering fiery rocks and canyons that permeate the park. Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area is south of town and is quite similar to Red Rock Canyon. The Sloan Canyon Petroglyph Site inside the park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its historic significance pertaining to the ancient indigenous peoples that called the area home.

Valley of Fire State Park features more prehistoric petroglyphs inscribed on canyon walls, signifying that the ancient Pueblo people thrived there once upon a time. Hiking, biking, and camping at Valley of Fire are all options when you rent an RV in North Las Vegas. No camping expedition to Nevada is complete without a visit to Lake Mead National Recreation Area, an obvious choice for you and your North Las Vegas motorhome. The massive Lake Mead was created in 1935 with the construction of the mighty Hoover Dam, a towering structure holding back the forces of nature and attracting millions of people per year.

Death Valley National Park, in California, is a couple of hours to the west when you take your North Las Vegas RV rental for a spin outside the state lines. The surreal salt flats and sand dunes cook up some of the hottest recorded air temperatures in history. Joshua Tree National Park is also a not so hidden gem, demarcating the blending point of two deserts and their distinct ecosystems. Last but certainly not least, the Grand Canyon National Park is just a few hours’ drive to the east of North Las Vegas, so don’t even think of skipping out on this World Heritage site when you rent an RV.

City Attractions
