The Great Outdoors

When RV camping at AA Royal Motel and Campground, be sure to visit Niagara Falls and take in the stunning beauty of this area. At Niagara Falls State Park, there are plenty of places where you can enjoy the views and get up close to the water. Cave of the Winds is one of the most popular places to see the falls - this wooden walkway takes you right up to Bridal Veil Falls, so close that you'll likely get wet. Another great way to see the falls is by taking the Maid of the Mist boat tour, which runs on the water below the falls and takes you through the most notable spots. There's also plenty of excellent hiking in the Niagara Falls area that shouldn't be missed when you book an RV in Niagara County. The Niagara Gorge Hiking Trail is situated north of the falls and offers beautiful views of the river and gorge. There are lots of hiking opportunities in Nature View Park, which is located south of the campground. It has an extensive network of trails and is particularly beautiful in the fall. Buckhorn Island State Park also has an excellent network of trails right on the river. Many of these trails also become cross-country ski trails in the winter.South of downtown Niagara Falls, there are many excellent fishing and boating spots along the Niagara River. There are fishing charter services in the area that will take you to the best places. This is one of the easiest ways to fish in the area, but you can also find fishing sites on your own in Whirlpool State Park, Buckhorn Island State Park, and Devil's Hole State Park. There is also a boat launch at Fort Niagara State Park. The fish species in the area change from season to season, but you may encounter bass, salmon, trout, walleye, and more, depending on when you go and where you decide to fish.

Both of these attractions feature exhibits about the wildlife and geology of the area. Niagara Falls is also home to several casinos for those who enjoy gambling. There is a good selection of restaurants in the area, and several options have views of the falls. You'll also find grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, gas stations, and other essentials just a short drive west of the campground in town. The closest gas station to your campsite at AA Royal Motel and Campground is located just south of the entrance on Niagara Falls Road.A short drive south in Buffalo, you'll find many interesting museums and cultural attractions. The Buffalo Zoo is one of the oldest and most renowned zoos in the country, with programming for children and adults. Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
