Our family had a great stay at P. J. Hoffmaster State Park during the last week of July. The "Pretzel" was perfect for our family of three (two adults, one teenager) + our German shepherd. Jordan delivered and picked up the trailer and was super friendly and informative as to how to operate each of the individual elements. The Rustic Mitten was proactive with helpful information and was very responsive to our questions and concerns. If we don't purchase our own trailer within the next year we will happily book our trip through The Rustic Mitten again.

We had an awesome time in this cute little camper. It was perfect for our family of 4 (2 small children). Pick up and drop off was easy and communication was always prompt and friendly! Highly recommend!

Easy pickup and drop off. Good communication. Quick answers when we had questions about equipment. Towed with a Ram 1500 with no issues. Slightly crowded with two adults and two grown kids but we knew that going in and spent most of our time outdoors. AC was a lifesaver at night. Clean, new trailer.
Update. We were charged $250 out of our security deposit for a small amount of sand (we stayed at a state park, sites are all sand), a spilled pop in the fridge and one of the kids didn’t flush pee the last morning so it was just in the bowl. I emptied the tanks at the state park and the trailer was given to us with feces in the tank. The owner claimed it took 3 hours to clean the trailer, which is ridiculous. Outdoorsy sided with them. I’m not surprised since they’ll make more money off of them than me renting occasionally. Apparently they expected their trailer scrubbed and in better condition than we received it in. No cleaning instructions were given before hand. I definitely won’t be using these owners again and probably not Outdoorsy either.

We are so sorry you decided to change your 5 star review to a 1 star. Unfortunately our policy states in the listing that the unit must come back in the condition that it was received in. We document all of our bookings to prevent these types of claims against us, although we wish we could have come to a mutual agreement during the mediation process, we are sorry you were left with negative feelings towards the rental. I would suggest in the future to return rentals in the condition they were given to avoid disagreements like this with other owners. We wish you luck in the future!
