Dayton, which happens to be the county seat of Montgomery County, is currently the sixth-largest city in Ohio. The city is located just a few miles away from Springfield and roughly an hour away from both Cincinnati and Columbus. Situated right at the heart of downtown Dayton, the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park celebrates not only the lives and accomplishments of the Wright Brothers, but also Paul Laurence Dunbar. Among the collection is the Apollo 15 command and service module, which orbited the moon more than 70 times in 1971.
The museum also holds a collection of aircraft used by several American presidents such as Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower. Dayton also has a couple of non-aviation attractions.
