What's included

This trailer is mostly ready for towing but needs a few things to get it perfectly ready for your stay. Sleeping bags/pillows, personal washing items and food are the main exclusions. The included containers for plates/bowls/cutlery, pots/pans, coffee/tea/cups, spices/cooking, hand/dish towels, and games, are all free of charge. All dishes must be retuned clean & washed (returning dirty dishes and filthy cloths will result in an extra $35 cleaning fee). Any used dish towels can be bagged and left inside, provided they are well rinsed & dried as well as possible.

The built-in 11 gallon fresh water tank (filled for you) can be supplemented by a built-in water inlet connection if the camping site has pressurized fresh water service (sanitized 20' fresh water hose included in trailer). WATER PRESURE REGULATOR (INCLUDED) MUST BE USED. The sink outlet connects to an external 4' waste hose & grey water bucket (provided). The bucket sits underneath the trailer exterior on the ground and should be disposed nightly in an appropriate manner to not attract wildlife to the scent of the waste water.

A 220V/120V power converter for power serviced sites is also included. A built in 20' heavy-gauge cable is stowed internally. A built-in circuit breaker and spare 5A/10A/15A fuses are included if a campground power surge causes problems. There are 2 x 120V internal and 1 x 120V external receptacles (they work only if you're hooked up to external power service since they can't run off the battery).

The trailer has an internal CO2 sensor for the detection of fumes caused by the propane fridge & furnace should excess gasses enter the trailer. IF YOU SMELL PROPANE GAS FUMES INSIDE THE TRAILER, EXIT THE TRAILER IMMEDITELY, SHUT OFF THE GAS SUPPLY IMMEDIATELY, AND VENT THE TRAILER. Note that the furnace burns only propane fuel (no electrical heat), but the furnace fan can run off the 12V battery or off 120V external power if you have a powered site. The re-calibrated fridge tends to freeze at night so you are cautioned to turn down the fridge cool level in the evening, and to return it to full in the morning.

Delivery to site, setup & take down, and return is rarely possible but you may request (my work/travel schedule rarely allows). Please contact to arrange for a pre-cooled fridge prior to your arrival.

Recommendations

This trailer is best for regional and provincial parks, accessed by mainly paved highway travel. The 12V battery and 20 lb propane tank make it ideal to stay 2-3 days at one location. Paved roads are preferred; gravel dust from unpaved roads tends to contaminate the furnace and fridge compartments, and dust will migrate inside the entire living compartment.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN (including but not limited to): camping permit, food, wood, clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, extra lawn chairs, picnic table cloth, Kleenex/paper towels, garbage/recycling bags, disinfectant, personal grooming and sanitary supplies, personal wash clothes and drying towels,

The trailer has no bathroom, no shower and no toilet, so please expect to use the campground toilet and washroom facilities if they are present. If no campground facilities exist then prepare to make due with boiled hot water and wash clothes for personal hygiene (reasonable experience is assumed).

1 lb propane canisters (i.e. little green bottles) for the Colman lantern can be supplied for $10 per bottle with advance notice.

A new (2021) Cabella tabletop 220 sq inch gas bbq grill can be supplied for $20 per day with advance notice. A new (July 2022) extra large 2-burner stove is standard and supplied for free. Note that the stove cannot be used for grilling food as it is meant to only heat pots and pans (returning the stove used for direct grilling food will result in an extra $75 cleaning fee).

The 20 pound Propane bottle will be refilled to full at market rates and you will be invoiced for the propane at cost (receipt supplied). The minimum refill charge is $6.50 to refill a 20 pound bottle (Calgary Co-op rate).

Other things to note

2" ball hitch included if you don't have one (check your receiver size). Round 7-pin electrical vehicle connector included. No trailer brakes necessary on this light weight trailer.

As part of the checklist, REMEMBER TO PUT DOWN ALL FOUR (4) STABILIZER LEGS, AND TO STOW THEM BEFORE DEPARTURE.

This trailer is not meant for dusty gravel conditions, rough roads, speeds over 110 km/h, or over rough terrain (i.e.) public land use zones, Crown Land, etc. Therefore, these areas are prohibited. Only paved and Provincially maintained graveled roads are allowed at lawfully posted speed limits, within reasonable driving conditions, to access the camping location. No pets are allowed in the trailer whatsoever.

Absolutely no smoking, vaping, bongs, etc., is/are allowed inside or nearby the trailer to avoid contaminating the canvas. Please consult with Outdoorsy for all insurance policies prior to inquiring.

Renter will be responsible for the immediate repayment in full for all charges resulting from damages caused by carelessness and/or neglect. A list of repair/replacement charges will be posted on the departure form and include:

Meet your host, Paul

We're always looking for the next hike in the Canadian Rockies, using the trailer as a home-base. Having the countertop, cupboards, fridge and stove make this a real convenience over tenting. This popup as a light-weight (fuel efficient) alternative to a large trailer or motorhome. Why would you want to spend time INSIDE a trailer when you can go OUTDOORS?
