The Umapine Campground is located west of Vey Meadows between Squaw and Umapine Creeks in a ponderosa pine forest. It offers 3 group sites (including one pull through site) and 5 single sites. The rustic campground is a central staging area for the Winom-Frazier OHV trail area which gives off-road riders access to more than 140 miles of challenging trails.
From La Grande, Oregon travel north on Interstate 84 for about 8 miles to Exit 252 going to Ukiah/Hilgard on Highway 244; Travel west on Highway 244 towards Ukiah for 23 miles to Forest Road 5160; Turn left on Forest Road 5160 and go 8 miles to campground and OHV trailhead entrance on right side of road.From Ukiah, Oregon travel east on highway 244 to Forest Road 5160; Turn right on Forest Road 5160 and go 8 miles to campground and OHV trailhead entrance on right side of road.

What type of RV should I choose?
Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?
Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.
