We rented this campervan for a 10-day roadtrip through Arizona and California and found it to be one of the best converted vans that we stayed in yet. The swivel seats and pull-out countertop made cooking and eating very easy and simple. We were able to stay completely off the grid for the entirety of the trip-using only solar for battery but never had an issue with power. But the best part of the van in our opinion was the bed. This was by far the most comfortable bed of anything we had previously rented, which allowed us to get plenty of sleep each night before starting the day.

Can't say enough about the experiences we had during our Tour De California. We went from desert to mountains to sea, no issues. Loren provided an excellent vehicle for the experience. Van was clean upon pickup, all required operational details provided. Although we did not require the built in facilities, shower and toilet, was there if needed. Intimidating at first driving, you sit high above a normal vehicle, but it handles very well, turning, backing up, although a little sluggish climbing hills, overall does well. Keep in mind it is made for 2, no extra seats for familyy but able to accomodate our fur baby easily in a crate. Overall, we are very pleased with the ease of rental and the quality of the van.

This was our first van life experience. We did an Arizona road trip covering Saguaro, Petrified, Canyon De Chelle, Monument valley, Antelope canyons, Grand Canyon and Sedona. This van is perfect for a couple. It has all the basics you need and never caused any troubles during the trip. Loren was very helpful right from the beginning. Would definitely consider renting again

Great experience renting this for a weekend trip! Perfect set up for car camping in Sedona. Drove nicely on dirt roads. The van was very clean with everything we needed, especially kitchen items. Hosts were the best hosts we’ve worked with on Outdoorsy; they were very kind and flexible about pick up and drop off times. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get the van life experience and rent from great, responsive people!

This was the most wonderful experience! It was our first time trying out a camper van and we were a little anxious, but everything about the van was just perfect. It was so well thought out and easy to use, and is great for two people! Loren was super helpful and a great communicator. 10/10 recommend!

Our trip with new life conversion was an amazing experience! The van was built with amazing attention to detail and passion for quality craftsmanship. It had all the comforts of home with the freedom of complete mobility. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions that arose. They provided helpful tools and instruction to make you feel like an expert in off grid living. I have done other van trips in the past and this was a cut above anything I’ve experienced. I would highly recommend New Life Conversions to anyone considering a van trip. The quality and ease made for an unforgettable trip!!

We had a great time on our trip in Arizona and New Mexico in this van! We mostly camped off grid using an app called FreeRoam, spent one at state park campground (Cochise stronghold), and one private place by Gila Cliff dwellings. The van worked great for us and was so comfortable. The bed is comfortable even though I have back problems, I had no issues with driving a lot and sleeping in the bed. I use a CPAP all night and with the inverter, we never depleted the battery despite using the CPAP, charging multiple devices and running the heater all night; probably could’ve gone two nights without needing to turn the van on. This was our first time trying out any kind of RV/ camper van situation and this van got us hooked! Loren was also great to work with. Very responsive to questions (we had a lot), very knowledgeable about so many things and just a nice guy to chat with. Can’t say enough good things about this van and Loren. Thanks so much!

This was our first time renting an RV and this trip was better than we could have ever imagined! Loren was an incredible host — responsive, helpful, and knowledgable. He has a construction background so he's literally thought of every single detail to make this van a cozy and comfortable home on wheels. We cooked many meals in there and not having to set up a bed or a tent at the end of a long day exploring is worth its weight in gold. Basically, we didn't want this trip to end and we're fully addicted to van life now. Thank you, Loren!

Loren and his son were excellent hosts/communicators! The video they send prior to your trip is super helpful. We watched and rewatched it multiple times during the trip. The heater was clutch for cold nights! Perfect van for our first van trip. Super easy to drive and operate. Perfect for a couple! We hit 3 days in Sedona, 1 night at the Grand Canyon, Horshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon & 2 nights near Flagstaff and back to Phoenix.

This van was perfect for the trip that we took. The owner was very nice and accommodating to all of our concerns. We had a couple of hiccups along the way but that’s as expected when living out of a vehicle and most of it was our own fault like forgetting to latch the drawers shut before driving. The van itself got a little slow on hills and tight turns but overall nothing horrible. Mileage was good. Got pretty hot sometimes but opening one window with the fan going helped. Overall a great experience all the way around.

Loren was lovely to rent from. He takes pride in his work, as he should! The van was great and had everything I needed to enjoy myself off grid in the forest for 4 days. He was very accommodating, communicative, and kind. I have already recommended this rental to multiple people. Great way for self contained exploration!

Loren is a gem. This van is well built and designed, very well thought out. Bed is comfortable, the fridge is spacious, good amount of storage. We used the van to visit the Grand Canyon North and South Rims, with some stops in between (horseshoe bend, marble canyon, vermillion cliffs, Glen canyon). Had an absolute blast. The van was the perfect size for my mom and I (5’10”). I also worked while on the road and was able to keep my laptop and phone charged with the solar and engine charging the batteries. Loren was quick to respond to all our questions. Even drove over to target shortly after picked up the van after we were not shutting the sliding door properly. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend New Life Conversions.

The van was great and well equipped with bedding, kitchen utensils, outdoor chairs and towels. I loved cooking on the induction stove. Had more amenities than I expected. We traveled for 2 weeks to S. AZ and N.M. and it was comfortable and easy to drive. Loren was attentive and responsive before and during the trip. I'd highly recommend his van.

We rented the van for a five day trip up to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. The van was our first foray in the hashtag van life and we loved it. I never want to go back to tent camping again. Loren was super helpful in walking through all we needed to know about the van and quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. He has designed and built the van himself - it was well thought out and felt roomy for two people. Lots of storage space. The bed was comfortable. We loved the pull out counter and the ability of the seats to swivel. Would definitely rent again.

Worth every penny for the first hand experience of van life! Very thoughtful touches and high quality craftsmanship. Loren did an excellent job walking through the van and all of its features upon my arrival and was quick to respond to any questions I had during my trip. I would highly recommend renting this wonderful van and experiencing a taste of the simple life.

Great camper build! Drove down to Ajo, AZ and camper on BLM land for a few days. Did not have any power issues and drove beautifully. The kitchen utensils were great quality. Cooked dinner and breakfast every day. But after we picked up the vehicle, we stopped at target. It fits in normal spots so no need to worry about where to park! The camping chairs were a nice chair and sat around a fire while looking up at the stars. Would definitely recommend this for anyone interesting in a glamping style of being outdoors!

Amazing experience! Loren was available if we had any questions, the van was very easy to drive and the bed was comfortable. I recommend renting this van to experience the van life!! We rented Loren and Tom’s van for 5 days of camping and climbing in California’s high desert and had an amazing experience. Tom went over all the features and operations of the van when we picked it up. The van was easy and comfortable to drive, even for the last day when we had to drive 10 hours straight to get home in time for work.
